jose landis jons

this dude was an original chute boxe killer. fantastic at muay thai. fantastic at bjj.
fought out of curitiba with vanderlei.

fought wars early on before gloves. back in the head but days.

he would throw double knees from the plum and just ruin dudes. he was cocky but he put up

beat mat militech. beat matt hughes. never made it to the top of the mountain though. dont really know why

Love these videos, have found a CSW class not a million miles away so will definitely be hitting them up in the near future.

Also recommend the Marvin Cook/Paulson clips if you're into boxing.

Glad you like. Check out some Eddie bravo clips. His # is sick. Just watched him fold royler up at metamoris.
I will post more later. I'm at work

some eddie bravo.

i have been thinking about this a lot. watching old and new grappling vids. mma. adcc. metamoris. shooto.
i really think eddie bravo and his 10th planet system is the future of jui jitsu.

i think he inflicted a bit of self sabotage with naming his holds stoner control and crackhead control but whatever.

the old guard, the royler gracie types and maro sperry types seem to the the jui jitsu purists. this is the way it is to be done cause this is the way helio gracie taught it. it worked for a long time.

eddie bravo comes along and strips it down and reinvents with with aspects of folk and catch wrestling. different focuses and has done very well.

he tapped royler 10 years ago. drew at metamoris 3 at a 20 minute time limit but controlled him the whole time and had him in # and royler looked lost.
the EBI is doing real well. a tourney set up by him with different rules on scoring.

anyway, a couple short tutorials

im getting ready to start watching all the EBI's right now

if anyone can make their way to a 10th planet....thats the future of grappling imo.
been thinking about this a lot though. its # people are not ready for

no escape...sakuraba

keenan cornelius(funny name yeah but this dude is young, nasty, and he is lighting dudes up) demonstrates the d'arce from the drag. very effective. you get the d'arce in right and it takes very little compression.

keenan has golds at the worlds, the pan am, and the european jitsu comps

watch for this dude. he has a long career ahead of him

the truck

makes all kinds of sense
from the back. hooks in. rear naked? or drop one hook, sink the other in deep, go to the side and start working the feet/calf

I trained for a while at a gym that was under 10th planet, it's a great system and the flow from position to position with the memorable names makes it a lot more intuitive than traditional bjj. The rubber guard should definitely be in everyone's arsenal.

first i need to say that one of my posts say mat militech. too late to edit
obviously i meant pat lest anyone think i dont know what i am talking about.

to your post

yes. i agree with all of it.
personally i dig the names of his locks and transitions. zero problem at all.
i could just see people throwing a bitch fit about stoner control into vaporizer(though vaporizer has nothing to do with weed. its about your knee vaporizing) being mentioned on tv if thats what the moves are.
remember people are oh so sensative

i was watching some of the eddie bravo invitationals yesterday and i was very pleased to see MJ friendly sponsors all over.
