Quite a voice. I believe she started off in opera if I remember correctly.

Shaped the 80's for sure.

Her decision to take on the rock scene and leave opera behind
worked for me. She's a big part of rock memories now. She
kicked ass from start to finish. A major talent who couldn't fail.

Lol, I'm 59 and listen to Pat Benetar in regular rotation...well at least her early stuff when it wasn't so blatantly commercialized (and her voice was stronger). Don't think anyone comes close to the way she used to belt them out...

Big fan of Pat Benatar.
Hard to believe that Heartbreaker came out in 1979...I was 13 and a big Kiss fan then....Heartbreaker came out and blew me away lol.
She actually played at Motor City Roller Rink here near me back in 1979...a roller skating rink!! I didn't go but a few people I knew went.
There is a website that has some pics of her show that night but it is a terrible website....takes forever to load.
Back when I played in some bands, I always wanted to find a girl who could sing Benatar to play some of her tunes.
A couple of my favorite songs by her -

Without giving away my useless secret identity, I gotta tell you, BS aside, I was one of the choir kids in the we belong video when I was 7. I got paid a dollar. I guess that's the perks of growing up in LA. DAMN I was cute once

She was pregnant during that video shoot. Maybe 6 or 7 months along
