The Brits, themselves, are entirely capable of leaking it and then pointing fingers at the U.S..

Easily done and distances themselves from, potentially, a much more inquisitive U.S. Intel system.

It's pretty difficult to fly from the UK to the US to conduct a physical leak in under an hour. Besides if it was true either were leaking their own investigation and breaking UK law and endangering national security for no benefit as the information was embargoed for 36 hours to allow accomplices to be caught.

Us intel has a track record of leaking such data as unlike the UK there's a more open media over there, while in the UK details like these which are critical to the investigation but trivial to the story wouldn't be published for ethical reasons.

Hmmm, it doesn't take more than a minute to send anything over the pond. The 'reciever' then takes it to the U.S. reporter.

Often I will see articles/insights in the U.K. media regarding the U.S. that never sees the light of day in the MSM over here.

My scenario-and that is nothing more than a remote possibility- would be from clandestine services in the U.K. to an agent(?) in the U.S. who would then forward it.

That's also assuming the U.K. services aren't lily white either, of course.

You know why Manchester is so upset by the leaks? Because it shows the public how incompetent they were in preventing this terrorist attack. All the "leaked" footage I have seen has been by non government influence.

England/Manchester as a whole has blood on their hands by not taking the threats of terrorism seriously, by not taking the warning of a local Imam and by not heeding the calls of warnings and alarms by local Islams 5 attempts to alert the authorities YET THEY IGNORED THEM ALL. They FAILED THEIR PEOPLE by failing to do due diligence. SHAME on them and screw their attempt to place blame elsewhere.
