Parochial Schools of course can be segregated however one wants, they can discriminate on whatever basis they choose, they just can't receive Federal
Funding (obviously that only applies to the US).
Why should black students be taught more 'black history and black identity'? Is the goal better education or better education about blackness?
Don't get me wrong, everyone can benefit from global history, but why is it important that 'black identity' be promoted? There is no black race,
there is no 'black identity' outside of a cultural thing. Why should that identity be preffered to another? Why should people outside of that
cultural identity bother to promote it also? Will students in white parochial schools receive more narrow history lessons, excluding black history,
focusing even more on europe? Will 'white identity' be promoted in schools? Should blacks be forced to promote white identity, in a way similiar
to whites being forced to promote black identiy?
If television and culture becomes muc more diverse, will the logic that applies to, say, BET, require that a WET channel be made?
