There, can you feel it? Lingering just underneath the bounds of the known. Can you feel the magic tingling below the mundane, stretching against the seams? This creative expression seeking to be birthed through us, speaking in soft tones of wonder and truth? It is always there, this essential flame, crackling the soft whisper of the pen as it dances across the pages, whispering words into the cool air. The sound of creations positive birth filling the spaces with ink.

Scratch, scratch. Can you hear the crinkling of the page, can you hear the words as they are written? Right now, they fall to the page like so many blossoms or pieces of snow. Can you feel this moment, stretching wide, shifting int possibility with each second? Look for the magic, for this world covers it from our eyes, and our mind plays the game well. Overwhelmed by fear or doubt, rage or oppression, internal and external it is so easy to forget the easy laughter and creative harmony we are to embody. It is so easy to forget beauty and wonder because they seem so fragile, so weak that they cannot possibly stand against the horrors of the world. We think 'better to hide the tears and to dwell in what is real, than to chase the dreams of a fool.'

Fool I may be, as I chase the words across the page, seeking unity and truth. I believe in the power of magic, found in creative expression and in the shared expressions of friendship. I believe in faeries and dragons and rainbows. I also believe that these things are not only not out of place in our world but are exactly what we are missing. That childlike quality of wonder, if seeing magic in the turning of the wind through the grass.

Of turning to passion and igniting it the way we know how, some with words and others with machines, some with their lives in silent testimony. Expression cannot be escaped or denied.. but it can be ignored, it can be seen as monotonous or dangerous or oppressive. When life's expressions get us down, I think if we remember we have this essential flame, this glorious spark of infinite positive possibility, and just try to focus on seeing it, on feeling it, or even just knowing it's there. Which I assure you it is. Then from seeing it and holding it, to using it and sharing it, to paint the world in vivid colours of creative harmony.

Then again I'm just a kid struggling to live up to himself, so what do I really know, haha.

You are one of my favorite writers! Anything I try to say couldn't possibly convey what I truly feel after reading this. It's like looking at a breath taking scene and being lost in the beauty and wonder of it. Thank you Lucid for sharing this! I love it so much!

Please don't think that! The greatest gift any artist could do with his work is to inspire another artist, hopefully on to something greater but it doesn't have to be. The beauty is in the expression, even if it doesn't look or even sound pretty. In fact the whole point of this piece was to try and inspire a feeling of wonder and grandeur, of magical possibility so that I might be able to get juices flowing. So I'm glad it worked but I would ask you to try and use it haha! You dont have to though, no pressure.
