I haven't heard of the documentary but it sounds great. Will see what I can find with my limited research skills.

Is this it: The Buried Secret of M. Night Shamalan
edit on 25-6-2017 by TobyFlenderson because: found something on IMDB

An interesting article about the movie. The author is not a fan of M. Night and the documentary was not real but a "fauxmentary" as the article calls it.Link to Article

The Matrix / Thirteenth Floor
Communion
Fire in the Sky
Night Skies
Dark Skies (1996)

...any one of the the last four movies may not be good to watch alone, at night, in the country like I did when I was in my teens.

I am rather shocked these three movies did not make mention...

One that freaked me out before computers, AI, and big brother all rolled into one.

Pure Sci-fi stupid comedy fun... Hippies in space...

And the last movie that depressed me for days... definitely chilled my bones to nuclear war... If you watch it you will never be the same. Hard to believe it was sprung on the British population without warning at prime time (9pm).

Thanks all. This thread has reminded of a few I need to watch again!

Star for that. Seen all except Colossus so now I've got to find it sometime and see what its like.
Too much time on my hands thanks to health issues and too much rubbish on TV.

Great thread OP! S&F for taking me down memory lane

Here are some that I really enjoyed watching and just inspired me as well.

The Sound Of My Voice and Another Earth are real indie gems and a must see!

Jodorowky's Dune is a very fun and emotionally compelling documentary about one director's journey trying to create the greatest science fiction film in history. It inspired a lot of science fiction films we see today like Star Wars, Alien and Terminator. Don't miss this!
