I would not put much stake in a US civil war. The country is pretty well fed, and the electricity is stable. I don't see it happening. Don't expect us to be walking away from the Pacific either, it is too strategically important.

Do they not also speak Spanish in the Philippines?? I have met people from there who were quite fluent in Spanish, I assume this is also a significant language there??
