Very few politicians and business people simply sit back and watch things happen. They always TRY to intervene and manipulate circumstances, to gain an advantage.

president Pence would be a liberals worst nightmare, maybe that was the plan all along, they knew an extremely right wing fanatic could never be elected president so they get him elected as vice president and then impeach the president, hell Trump may even be in on the scam,it would certainly explain why Trump continues to do so many assinine things that almost guarantee that he will have to resign or be impeached.
