well, if it`s built to the exacting standards of all the other Chinese made crap it will probably work for a whole 6 months before breaking and being thrown in the trash can.

To be fair, it already exist on paper through a professor at UT. The Boson sampling experiment that is.

However, it would seem that google will achieve quantum supremacy by the end of the year.

Pretty much the way I see it. Lets not fool ourselves, whoever hits quantum first in a practical sense will have the avility to break cyrptographs and security obstacles.

exactly, the wright brothers may have been the first to fly but their airplane was an impractical piece of junk, others had to perfect it.
china doesn`t have a reputation for manufacturing things that work and last.

You get what you pay for. It might have been different if people choose to not push the prize downwards where the quality becomes substandard.

The Chinese can do everything the Japanese can if they want to.
