Best plan I thought was one that involved a solar-powered dirigible that could heat up with the sun and essentially fly around taking pictures until it broke down. I don't know what it would do in a dust storm. Fly a little higher, I suppose.

The OP explains how the images are made into a video, care to explain why it isn't real? There's plenty of Mars images available that don't look too far from these in quality, environment and more.

Great video! Maybe they could use a LIDAR scanner next time and make their own 3D videos. I think that would be most practical. A drone would probably get only a handful of flights before its crashed.

I'm not sure how good they would work in such thin, cold CO2 air. I understood that the solar panels would supply heat and power to the equipment.
