Cops Give Verbal Warning to Cat Armed With Assault Rifle

Newport, Oregon Police Dept responded to a call of an armed cat in a tree with steely cold bravery, and officers were able to apprehend the cat in question without a shot being fired! The cat was charged with several offenses, but thankfully, no one was injured.

"Reports of an armed cat this morning were unfounded," police said. "The feline was contacted by our canine and was determined to be in possession of a non-lethal branch."

The officers ended the tongue-in-cheek post by stating the cat had been apprehended and charged with several offenses.

"The cat was given a verbal warning for posing with what could be mistaken as an assault rifle while wearing poor camouflage attire," police said.

Kudos to law enforcement for, once again, risking everything for the greater good! Special thanks to the canine negotiator!
