I think perhaps you aren't aware of how desperate people have to be to leave their homes and take a risk getting here, and then take another risk getting a job. They are not doing anything to hurt you. They are trying to survive. The "legal" way takes a long, long time.

Meanwhile, your hotel room gets cleaned, your food gets cooked, your lawn mowed, your honey-do list gets tackled without a lot of red tape and waiting time, and they pay taxes every time they shop. Most of them file tax returns, too. Taxes are taken out of their paychecks. Not that many of them work for cash under the table.

Don't begrudge them a roof and food and an education. It might be YOU someday needing some relief from oppressive, poverty-stricken areas.

Have a heart. They aren't taking jobs that you want to do.

BULL. Hotel rooms cleaned? I know for a fact that there are Americans who apply for that work, and are not hired because some racist housekeeping manager would refer to hire only Hispanics. Been there, seen that. I'll cook my own food, thanks, or go places with legal workers. LOTS of lower pay jobs, plenty of Americans with no job would love to do, and can't, because the illegals have the all. They also drive down wages. I don't need criminals cooking what I eat. My boys ow the lawn, or the hubby. No illegal needed there, either. If I hire someone, they won't be illegal. The "to do" list, the hubby does. Don't want some border-hopping criminal around my place, thanks. As for taxes, what ID are they using for that, if here illegally? That's right; they are using fake ID, which is another crime!! Whose ID did they steal, and what problems have they caused for that person??

I would just like to add that I have never seen a farmer that was not overweight and driving a new $85,000 truck.

Is that exclusive to my area? Or have others noticed this about the profitee........farmers in there areas?

Martin, it's not a stereotype. I worked for a major convention hotel, and was a supervisor for the housekeeping department. A staff of 85 were my responsibility to keep organized, scheduled, and on track. FIVE of them spoke English. Thanks.

Who am I? Someone who speaks Spanish and has been working on the front lines all of my life. Hotels ALWAYS need more people. The HR department is open every day. Spanish speakers come in every day to apply for the jobs, as do immigrants from Africa (Somalians, Sudanese). They also drive taxis. Others not so much. Facts. Simmer down.

The point Buzzy was making (that nobody will admit they understand full well) is that our country already factors in illegal immigrants. They have been unofficially accepted and expected (if not actually encouraged) and they're very much in demand. Many businesses are profiting specifically because they use illegal immigrants (almost) exclusively and they're a defacto part of the workforce

They're part of the community. They're also people - not vermin

They are immigrants, but they aren't here legally

As much as you despise them - there are going to be more. With or without that stupid wall. This is a global humanitarian crisis, and it would be better for countries with angry citizens and better for people in need if we put all our energy into working on the roots of this problem instead of attacking the victims

While I am proud of been Puertorrican I am no blind to what goes on in latino families, breading used to be a proud thing for the males.

My grandfather from my father side had 16 children, from different women, one of my aunties took after him and had 12, from different husbands, or we thought, gave away half of them because she could not keep them and feed them.

I have 3 siblings, that make us 4, interestingly we decided that we will not keep procreating for the heck of it, because now children cost money, how can you have 5 or 6 children and throw them on the streets when they turn 18, that is call importing and spreading poverty.

So anybody that reproduce this days expecting to have the rest of the tax payer to pay for the children that they can not feed and send to a decent college is been irresponsible regardless of what others thinks.

Is call common sense, but hell that is not a consideration this days during reproduction.

Last time they did this in Las Vegas there was trash EVERYWHERE! Water bottles, Gatorade Bottles, sodas etc etc. Not because the illegal immigrant workers weren't there to pick up the trash (city job btw, illegals can't get those jobs) but because they were the ones littering and not throwing it away.

Very lazy and disrespectful. All that really proves is they are messy people who throw trash everywhere because they are babies and throwing a tantrum. Just so their cousin Enrique who is here "illegally" can stay.

I think immigrants are missing the point. The problem isn't immigration, USA is nothing but immigrants, it's the illegal immigrants that is the issue, so no clue what they are trying to accomplish if everyone marching is legal....doubt illegals will show up, would be pretty stupid of them to do so tbh.

NOPE Illegals are criminals. I don't deal with criminals. Nor do I want them anywhere near me. Get them out!
Sorry you think making a difference between legal and illegal is lumping into groups. Its called putting the criminal elements together. One day maybe you will see that illegal immigrants are nothing but criminals.
