Napolitano's UC hid $175 million while demanding money, audit says

The University of California hid a stash of $175 million in secret funds while its leaders requested more money from the state, an audit released on Tuesday said.

The San Francisco Chronicle reported that the audit found that the secret fund ballooned due to UC Office of the President overestimating how much is needed to run the school system that includes 10 campuses in the state. Janet Napolitano, the former Department of Homeland Security chief, is in charge of the school system.

Surveys on campus spending appeared to be doctored

The auditors submitted surveys to each campus to determine whether there was duplication of spending, and the Office of the President inappropriately screened the campuses’ survey responses before the surveys were submitted to auditors, the state report says. The audit said the Office of the President intentionally interfered with the audit process.

Survey forms filled out by campus managers that were initially critical of the Office of the President were later revised to be more positive. The auditors said the interference prevented them from drawing conclusions from some of their work.

She should definitely be fired. I have a feeling this is a small part of a larger story that is going to come out about the prior administration. It isn't like she just started doing this sort of thing the day she started working for UC. This type of scheme takes a while to learn and you can bet she did it while with Homeland Security. If I were her I'd be crapping bricks right now.

Trump's adviser talked to some Russians a decade ago, and somehow this amounts to "treason" in a breathtaking leap of logic that nobody has even bothered to explain.

There's only one side of this argument that needs to provide proof.

Let's see... 175 - 38 = $137 million.

...I wonder if part of that difference explains how they got Comey to give Hillary a pass on all her misdeeds.

Yeah...pretty funny that she is saying the amount is lower. So she is admitting to it, just on a smaller scale. And even that smaller scale is pretty damn big.

I would imagine this is going to force her to account for the missing $137MM.....which should also leave a pretty big trail of corruption.

Anyone been able to find who/how/why this audit was ordered in the first place? I know the source talks about unhappy employees and such, but I don't see that being the real reason behind this audit.

My thought is that someone knew it was going on, tipped them off, and is trying to bring down JN and also tie this into beginning an investigation into her time as head of Homeland Security and the corruption involved during her time in the administration there.

I would also like to find out how many times the Clinton's (both of them) have spoken at a UC campus and been paid their exorbitant fees, as well as if their foundation received any "donations" from some of the Execs at UC or UC itself....now wouldn't that be funny....Clinton's brought down by their own constituents at UC....LOL!
