Well, according to your theory, they saved 25 billion not going to the moon, so why not allow them to spend a measly 100 thousand to bring cheer and good joy to those on board the ISS, after all they saved so much money for us and they have it all just sitting in those safes with nothing to spend it on since Kubrick worl's really cheap

But that 25 billion was not saved.

And 100,000 dollar to have an astronot wear a NFL jersey just so he can feel good is ridiculous regardless.

Off topic, but they say it is about 384,000 km on average, didn't you know?

yes - i did - just checking what your belief was

i not you use a curious expression :

they say it is about 384,000 km

do you actually accept that distance to be accurate - ??????????????????

I don't know. Still not the topic of this thread.

why ?

the distance to the moon must be a measurable number - so why can you not calculate it - or accept the calculated value someonelse supplies ?

Still not the topic of this thread.

How do you suggest I would calculate this?

or accept the calculated value someonelse supplies ?

I have several reasons for not accepting that, and none of it is the topic of this thread.

Maybe you can ask these questions in a thread that has this as topic.

Clever!! Did you come up with that one all on your own?

Your embracing of ignorance is complete. Well done?

Nope, I didn't come up with it at all.

Well if the earth is flat and this is just filmed on some set then I don't see what you are upset about if the only costs were the production of this "fake footage"

However if you are genuinely upset about the cost of launching unnecessary payloads up to the ISS at taxpayers expense then that must mean that you believe that space travel is real and the Iss is actually orbiting the earth and that we just wasted money launching up sports jerseys.

So which one is it?

Omg, you people are still acting confused about what I believe and think you have caught me on a inconsistency.

Sheesh.

I said that wasting tax payer money was the BEST case scenario, so no, I am obviously not worried about them spending money on launching ridiculous items into orbit. It's not even my tax money.

another flat earth cultist gets banned - a predictable end to a predictable thread

though - " how far away is the moon " is gaining momentum as one of my favourite questions to stump them

I can't be entirety sure but I think they are back under a new account on this thread here. www.abovetopsecret.com...
I am being told once again that space is not real and the satellites I have seen can not be sattelites.

Okay guys.....that's off topic.

Let staff worry about who's returned, etc, etc. If you see an issue then use the Complain button.

For now: return to the topic.

Do not reply to this post.

On another note, I first saw this as "Nasa sends NFL Jerseys to ISIS"

I lol'd

Aaron Hernandez jerseys!!

Too early prolly...

Well, a little too late. When space tourism starts up, anybody can take any jersey to space. Man U, Barcelona, Iceland, Boston Bruins, San Jose Banana Slugs, WNBA...

Not too early. I having been keeping an eye out for an AH thread concerning his alleged suicide... I'll keep it at that, so as not to derail.

Concerning the jerseys you mentioned: UC Santa Barbara are the Banana Slugs, not San Jose State (I am assuming you were referring to San Jose State University and not some other college/university). I've never encountered a banana slug, but suffice to say they are quite the specimen in comparison to those I have in my garden -- here on the East Coast. I would bet if someone was unfamiliar with slugs, in general, they would truly believe the banana slug to be an 'alien' species. Seems like an appropriate team jersey to send into space...
