Sorry to debunk on these boards,,,

not.

All other possibilities have to be ruled out first... night time sighting of a v shaped flock of migrating birds, for instance. What makes you so certain it was 'aleeens'? You weren't there either.

I know the Yahyel, you do NOT!

Birds with lights on them?

How did you determine they were lights?

You don't know what a light looks like?

Edit: The moon is 'lit up' too...

From within? Like a light? Prove it.

You don't get the real issue we have many members so does youtube,Facebook & most ufo slites that claim regular sightings YET these people are never ready for their next encounter. Them someone posts a story and what do you know every other claim becomes a duplicate look how we changed from saucers to cigar shapes and now triangular shaped craft.

As for cameras yes small cameras small sensors poor performance at night yet we have euipment like this available see links below. Now if I was a person who makes claims of regular sightings I would save my pennies for one of those cameras you would earn the money back if the claims being made were true.

Aurora Real time Video

We also have members on here that spend many cold nights in the middle of nowhere all over the globe on a regular basis some with pro level gear yet we never seem to see any of these objects strange don't you think.

I see plenty of interesting photo worthy things on a fairly regular basis. And i cant be bothered to tape or film any of it. Some of us just dont care about that.

Sorry, I must of missed what the 'real' issue was. I thought it was all photos and videos in general. I must of missed where it was stated it is a select few. My bad.
As the majority of sightings are from we poor common folk who cannot afford $2000+ cameras, even then, just because someone sights weird things regularly, doesn't mean they're cashed up either, that is what I was commenting on. We poor everyday common folk.

But alas I cannot speak on the behalf of professional UFO hunters as to why they do not own the equipment required for perfect HD imagery or why they are not always prepared and ready to go to snap or film everything they see.

Yes it is frustrating to still be seeing Potato Cam photos and videos in this day and age with most HD stuff that is around clearly CGI, but honestly I think this is how it will be until every man and his dog has some true to life HD night vision image capturing devices and 'UFO's' decide to stop for a minute or two to let people film them.

That is unless government agencies or Film and TV studios who have access to the latest and greatest video and photo cameras decide to take up UFO hunting themselves. Which sadly aint gonna happen anytime soon.

I'd probably share your skepticism had I not had my own experience, which happened just once (for me) in about 70 years. I have never devoted much time to stargazing, well specifically hoping to see something out of the ordinary that is.

The camera I possessed at the time was a SLR but a 35mm film type (remember those?) and even if I had it out of its case and focus, aperture, film & shutter speed correctly calibrated I still would most likely have failed to capture a clear still picture of what I observed so briefly in the dark moonless night. I didn't even speak about the sighting for many years, choosing to quietly watch out for anyone reporting a similar experience (I'd never heard of 'triangles' back then). If any other witnesses existed and had an attitude to drawing attention to themselves like me then I guess no-one would be reporting anything but that's fine as I know what I saw.

The current proliferation of higher quality cameras now should eventually capture some decent footage but it'll get lost in the mountain of hoax videos made possible with the processing tools available now.

We have ufo sites on which the posters have the cheek of asking subscribers for donations to buy equipment. If I was 100% certain I was seeing the real thing on a regular basis I would make the effort to prove it, then again if I was story telling.....

Okay, lets try again. Point I made earlier is that objects seen at night from below can appear to be lit but may only be reflecting light from the ground, like city lights, even moon light reflecting from a lake or ocean.
In the case of the OP they described the 'lights' as dirty grey, I speculated it could be the white down underbellies of migrating birds, like Snow Geese for instance.

I added further that I have on occasion seen nighttime v formations of migrating birds pass overhead and they indeed look 'lit up' from the city lights. Thats how I could see them. I also noted that I could only see the birds as blobbish dim 'lights', the flapping wings were invisible at that altitude, at night, dimly 'lit' as they were. I figured they were birds though, because of their steady. silent, slow pace, the V formation and the direction they were flying.
