Erm not to intrude or anything. But wouldn't an awesome thread be worth trying to save? I mean if you walk away from an awesome thread than the trolls just won. they can be ignored, even if ats doesn't mechanically have that feature.

Definitely not trying to condemn because this is my worst habit.

The trolls can be annoying as hell, but I agree with you Lucid. If a thread is worth saving, stand your ground and try to save it.

I just came from a thread where the insults were pouring out like a fast running river. I wasn't going to reply in there, but changed my mind to stand up for the other posters and gently put the thread poster in his or her place. Sometimes it is necessary.

Hmmm, so I see you as assertive and discerning but you see your self as condemning? Interesting, very.
Yes, it is worth saving a thread that has potential, but some times it the task of weeding through piles of "weeds" becomes tiresome.
We aren't at liberty to dismiss disruptive posts with out reporting them so it becomes cumbersome.

There are some threads that simply can't be saved and you have to just agree to disagree and walk away. If some people are being really bad to everyone, you can report them.

It isn't about the occasional one, but page after page of them. In any thread. It is so boring I could just as well be on FakeBook.

My reply was to Lucid who wondered if it wasn't adventitious to continue a thread despite the disruption.
It wasn't a an inquiry, and I agree at times one must just refrain from communication.
As now, it seems we have a sort of "tiff".

True blue Aussie ... the kiwis give us heaps of stick We copped plenty when we travelled there a few years back but we give it back in spades.

We are good mates though and have each others back's when push comes to shove.

OK I'll admit doughnuts go better with coffee or a milkshake and drambui goes better with beer,
but hey ... two food groups can be toyed with !

You must have some great stories from your time on oil rigs I once read a book about an Aussie who worked on rigs I think it was titled " don't tell mum I work on oil rigs, she thinks I am a piano player in a whorehouse ", it was as funny as !

Well it wasn't a true apology as the one liner was more like a playful jab and the apology being more sarcastic haha.

But, you are right, very interesting little reveal that. I wasn't fully seeing myself as condemnatory, but I did think that it could be percieved as such, which I see was really me thinking it on some level. Wouldn't surprise me to find out I have issues with being assertive, kinda obvious now I think about it really.

Oh noes! A 'tiff' doesn't sound good and I'd hate to have (nearly) started one!
