If you are against corporatism, then why would you ever consider voting for anyone other than Corbyns Labour?

The fact of the matter is, that if you vote for the Conservatives, you are voting for privatisation of every public service, you are voting for corporate over reach into every facet of our society, eventually private police forces, private armies, private bloody education being the only type available, and even then, only to the highest bidder for places, for the very corporatism you despise!

That makes no sense! I want out of the EU too, but I want to be led out by the left wing principles that kept our country whole during the formation of the welfare state and the NHS, not the idiotic and evil ideals that Thatcher and every whoreson who follows in her wake subscribe to.

Indeed. However, I think it is imperative that you understand that while your grass roots Conservative voter might not want that, and while your council members, Members of Parliament and other representatives of the Conservative party might say that they do not want that, there is a difference between the Conservative MP, and the Conservative base. That difference, quite simply, is that one of these groups benefits from the victimisation of the weak, the targeting of the defenceless, the creation of scape goats, and that group is not the Tory voter in the street.

You can level that exact same argument against the Parliamentary Labour Party - lets at least be honest about this. Or the Scots Nats - simply look at their performance in Scotland. That is the real reason Sturgeon is pushing for Indy ref 2. The Scots Nats are failing at nearly every level of government (health, economy, public services, etc). Or the Lib Dems with Farron who believes homosexuality is wrong (very liberal attitude there!).

Personally, i like Theresa May and i like Jacob Rees Mogg. Apart from that, i can see very little to like in Parliament at all - they are all self serving, entitled little pri!*#

The Speaker has just cleared the Lobby and the Division Bell has rung.

PM and other MP's returning to the Lobby having voted.

Aye's to the Right 522, No's the left 13! The Aye's have it.

That has to be one of the biggest wins in political history. General Election it is.

Do some people not remember what a train wreck of a country the last Labour Government left behind?

Can Labour ever again be trusted with the economy?

Corbyn's Labour is not as it stands a party fit for power, not by a long chalk - it is a party of protest infiltrated by Trots and bereft of any clue of how to actually run the country, God forbid that they ever might get in. Which thankfully they don't have an earthly chance of doing so.

What is his policy on Brexit, exactly? What about Trident? - that one is just farcical: let's spend a fortune building Trident sub replacements but we are not going to have any nukes in them, for goodness sakes.

Corbyn has spent his whole political life protesting, being a Dave Spart type "activist" and voting against his party's whip. Boy, does he not like anyone dissenting against him, though. He has never had a proper job in his life. No Labour MP with an ounce of talent will sit with him in his shadow cabinet, just look at the calibre of people he has managed to cobble together.

Diane Abbott, anyone? Emily "White Van" Thornberry? Please....I think not.

The modicum of respect I had for Corbyn completely dissolved when he made the vile racist Diane Abbott his Shadow Home Secretary. When I found out that he has slept with her I realised what a sick and twisted individual he truly is.

Flavian,

First of all, your quote tags are all messed up, just FYI

Second... you could not level the same argument against the PLP in its entirety, that you could level at the Conservative Party. The reason for this is simple. The Conservative Party as a whole collective, are obsessed with making money for themselves and their peers.

Only a portion of the Parliamentary Labour Party have any such desire, and it is not the portion which leads the party at the moment either. What is more, the PLP is not even the most powerful part of the party. That honour resides with the HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of members, grass roots people, who, unlike their Tory counterparts, get to choose the leader of the PLP, because the leader is supposed to be the representative of the WHOLE Labour Party, not just the professional political entities within it.

Further to that, the leadership of Corbyn is one of the things which divorces the Labour Party from any notion of corporate interest, because he simply has none, and quite right too. Its about time we had a leader as for the people as he is. The succession of slimy, Red Tory scum we have had leading the party for the last couple of decades have done it no favours, nor served the people they are supposed to represent in the slightest. They have served themselves, and behaved like the Tories they secretly are, but not like Labour stock. Corbyn and his team ARE the real deal. There may be some bad eggs in the Labour Party still, but at least it is not chock full of rotten gits, like the Conservative Party is, or turncoat bastards like the Lib Dems are.

Do you remember that under the new rules brought in by Milliband (that political heavyweight ) anyone who paid their £3 or whatever got to vote for the leadership of the party?

It may burst your bubble to know that in fact quite a few people who voted for Corbyn - quite a lot, actually (not me, of course) - were not genuine Labour supporters but quite the opposite, who saw a golden opportunity to vote and lumber Labour with a comedy leader thus ensuring that they remained an unelectable laughing stock.

As for Corbyn's team being "the real deal", come on man - are you serious? More like a bunch of talentless inexperienced nobodies who were only appointed because no one of any stature would sit in his shadow cabinet and that was the only "team" he could desperately manage to cobble together.

I presume from your references to "Red Tory scum" that you disapprove of Blair and co and want to hark back to the days of decent, principled non self serving proper decent Socialist leaders. Like Neil Kinnock, perhaps? No wait - he's had his principled non self serving nose stuck in the EEC trough to the tune of upwards of £10,000,000.00 for ten years or so.

I don't think any political party has a monopoly of self serving gits and for my money Labour is the nastier party and the Conservative party is not hell bent on privatising the NHS, setting fire to old folks homes and sending children up the chimneys, etc.

Because Corbyn is too far left.

Here is the thing, some of us don’t want the extreme cuts the Tory’s are doing but neither do we want extreme socialism that Corbyn offers either.

There seems to be no one willing to speak for the center !
