The roots of Scientology, like most American made religions, are so fascinating; a case of truth being stranger than fiction. L. Ron Hubbard, the most prolific science fiction writer of all time, also a naval veteran and former member of Aleister Crowley's occult Thelma sect (some would call satanic, certainly Luciferian), scams Jack Parsons (a founder of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory) out of his life savings and his wife and uses the money to buy a yacht and found the cult. Simply amazing.

You are preaching to the choir.

Finally. Everyone else will get to see what's beamed into my head every day by Scientologist satellites.

Damn, you are one active Scientology detractor. Former member? Or have a friend/family member involved? I had a brother involved only a moderately malignant cult for a while. It is difficult. I place Scientology, much like Mormonism, in a sort of intellectual curiosity cubby-hole in my mind, until it comes in contact with real life.

By the way, I only saw Part I of your posts on "Eyes Wide Shut". I can't wait to read parts II through 6. Will have to wait however, until after I sleep. (Also, I forwarded Part I to my daughter (who is a 22 year old art student and an ardent fan of Kubrick) and she loved it. Great work.)

Not a former member, no family, but I've had a couple friends tell me after having known them for a few years that they were former Scientology members. One of my friends was in the church for 20 years and when he left he was disconnected from his wife & kids.

All and all, as someone who has a vast appreciation for The Occult, it pains to me see such hidden wisdom of the ancients become corrupted and peddled by a slick used car salesman.

It's all there in the thread, part 7 starts on like page 5.

Do we know if the broadcast location/equipment will be close to their possessions at their capitol?? Jeez, these guys. How in the hell are they going to find original content to support a 24/7 stream/broadcast? Are they going to go into sci-fi movies and shows that recreate what they believe are accurate interpretations of their beliefs?? This sure will be fun.

We should go throw rotten fruit at them.

Great news!!! Go Leah...

I think it's safe to say we won't be seeing any advertisements for pharmaceuticals.

Buy "9 E-meters and get the 10th free".

Do I have to pay separate processing on that free one? Might be a deal breaker.

For the sake of comedy, I'm hoping they get this channel up and running. Like I said before, the Scientology TV programming will be a great time capsule once the church is dismantled.

I looked up Scientology after watching the South Park episode for the first time and i couldn't fathom that it was what they really believe. Turned out to be the real deal and i remember wondering how people could be so gullible to fall for this scam in the first place. I hope someone hacks the channel and airs the South Park episode 24/7.

I understand that the "Church" actually produced an audible book version of the novel. It uses many voice actors, includes original music, lasts something like 35 hours, and has Hollywood quality production. Jim "The Sellout" Marrs has been pumping it in a couple of different interviews I've heard in the last few months.

You have to be joking, is Jim Mars seriously pushing Scientology?

He's pumping up the audio book version of "Battlefield Earth". He also had positive things to say about L.Ron. He didn't explicitly endorse the cult, but came too damn close for my liking. He's on Gaia TV now, which seems to me to be nothing but a profit making venture with no real dedication to the search for truth. I have nothing against making money, but lying to get it is an immoral act to me.

leah remini was on real time with bill mahr recently.... people get into this cult and their kids are raised in it from early on...way back when we didn't have computers to look this stuff up...but...she said now a days that they are not allowed to look this stuff up...they keep you REALLY busy....like they give you a word and you have to come up with 20 different meaning and uses origin etc etc.

they catch you when you are at your most vunerable....do you think it is a coincidence that pricilla presley is all of a sudden going out on dates with tom jones..whose wife just died seveal months ago, and he was really broken up about it

then they have you confess every wrong bad thing you ever did and they record it..which should be a huge red flag by the way....and they can hold it over you forever......google lisa mcphearson

Oh good another syfy channel lol. As far as advertisements could be funny have infomercials on all kinds of things. Healthy cooking to lower setan levels or maybe space x and they can advertise leaving the planet. Sure you can get the hollywood types to reserve a seat to escape thetans.

I watched some of the stuff Lear Remini tried to tell us about Scientology and some parts sounded pretty plausible. The murdering someone for another member peaked my interest. There is some really messed up stuff going on right unto or noses but we just sit back and do nothing about it. Btw is Hillary a secret member?
