It's over for United. They should just sell all their assets and planes to Virgin Air, one of the few good guy in the corporate world.

Well if nothing else, I think the people who have been treated poorly or taken advantage of are going to be sharing their experiences with the airline.

We have allowed ourselves to be treated like common criminals and we behave as if they are doing us a favor while they nickel and dime us to death and treat us like inconveniences.

I will be the first to admit that working with the public is not easy, and that all customers are not the most courteous, or the most co-operative, but this doesn't give you the right to manhandle them. Talking about violence in the workplace.

I have been in the medical field for over 40 years, and I have had moments when I would have loved to be able to speak my true mind or slap the taste out of someone's mouth, but I always treated my patients, families, and co-workers with nothing but the utmost respect, patience, and tolerance. When that becomes too difficult, then it is time to leave the job.

and, he doesn't even remember getting back on the plane..

That's exactly why I suspected a concussion in one of my earlier comments, before it became know he did in fact suffer a concussion: because of the way he was acting when he re-boarded.

I apologize if this has been posted already. It's a little bit of fun, but it might wind up getting the entire flight cancelled.

www.wpsdlocal6.com... -over-united-video-imperils-chicago-airport-police

It appears by this story linked above that those "Police officers" might not have even been legally allowed to enter that plane, this just keeps getting worse lmao, kinda funny but as a customer service rep for many years in an industry slightly similar to airlines (Hotel) in that we take reservations for a finite product that expires every day if not sold I can say for certain if we were to implement the same policies they used it would be a disaster.

Overbooking the hotel just to ensure we sell the rooms then offering a free night for some other time... yeah. Dragging a guest out of their room in the middle of the night so one of our housekeepers could have the room.... Sure..... This was from any customer service point of view a horrible idea. Now my real question is who was on the ground that made the call that resulted in this situation, he should fired then rehired and fired again.

I WONDER IF THE REFUND THEY GIVE TO ALL THE OTHER passengers had come with a form releasing the airline of all liability or a non disclosure form. this all could have been avoided if they had just boarded their ahole crew before passengers arrived and then they could have bumped passengers at gate and why would anybody take 800 dollars of play money i mean coupons if you can only use a little bit of it at time? did they take the couples bags of plan before it left? should the ground crew who called the cops get in trouble they sicced cops on a dude who broke no law. i see united and city of chicago paying a pile of money to this man i hope some idiot judge doesn't limit the amount either is liable for .

If it hasn't been posted before... Chicago Sun Times

The 'police' were Chicago city employees that were ordered to remove the word 'police' from their clothing in January.... but as seen in the video, they still think they are police.

This means that Dr. Dao will have a nice suit to file against the city of Chicago too.

So, were these guys actually certified law enforcement officers, or are we talking mall cops?

I assume (could be totally wrong) that because of the way this went down, the passengers getting all the way onto the plane and then being asked to leave that it was most likely a last minute issue that came up. Honestly if it wasn't a last minute thing then it would probably be even worse because someone somewhere let this happen even with the advanced information.

UPDATE...HOT OFF THE PRESS.

Excerpt from: www.cnbc.com...

Federal officials have decided not to punish United Airlines over an infamous incident in which a passenger was dragged off an overcrowded plane.

The Transportation Department said it found no evidence that United violated the passenger's civil rights and not enough evidence that it violated rules regarding bumping passengers.

Will any groups protest this decision (that was kept hidden) by Trump's FAA?
