At what point do we accept we've lost?

McDonald's you say?

They have actually been losing market share to chains like Burger King and others since at least 2015, to one degree or another.

And no, thank you, we have not lost. We just have not won yet. There is a VERY big difference. As long as you know there is a war on, you are still fighting it.

It has to do with the purpose of this world IMO. I believe that there is a God and that He created this world with a purpose. The purpose, IMO, is to solve the paradox of free will, given to us in order to provide true companionship with God. Without free will, there can be no real companionship. But with free will, one can deny God, ignore Him and choose to be separate from Him, completely destroying the reason we were created (companionship). This world, IMO solves this paradox by providing a life separated from God and within the influence of the ones who, with full knowledge, chose to rebel and deny God His real identity and companionship and were cast out forever. The Truth of God has died from this world (Jesus), and this, IMO, is done so that we do not sin in the face of God, but rather get a first row seat of the asylum without Him. TPTB, IS that evil influence, and this world is a lesson for the spirit, an eternal lesson, so what sometimes may look like 'losing' is actually winning. TPTB, including Satan and his demons are serving God's purpose, even if they'd rather not. So don't get down about this world, realize that it is serving God and you.

Also keep in mind that an individual can do amazing things. One person can make a huge difference in many ways.

Absolutely, Hitler was one of them.

As was George Washington, Ghandi, MLK, Mother Theresa, Joan of Arc, Ben Franklin and the list goes on into the millions. LOL

It's not always a matter of "letting things go", as that tends to be very selfish. There are actually some people who are worried about what it is they leave behind.

Not sure what you mean here. I'm not suggesting not to follow your dreams or anything. I'm just saying that people tend to get a BIT too self-absorbed in things they have no control over. Sometimes you need to take a step back, a deep breath, and realize that things aren't as bad as the media always makes them out to be. Life will go on and as long as you stay in your lane things will probably turn out all right.
