I Miss ATS

Hi guys! I 'check in' every once a while to see what's happening in this world. I used to live there you know...

I'm doing art stuff and involved with fabric collage these days. I'll try to remember how to send a picture...

My life is going well! I"m very happy! My reading and writing pretty much stopped getting better, but I keep working on it and I can do enough to moving on.

I think about you guys a lot! I keep up with the news (of course) with TV and videos.

Honestly, I'm not noticeably getting better in the last year. I got better for a couple years with all the speech therapy and hard work, and I'm still working, but I haven't gotten any more better. Does that make sense? Part of my brain (language) just pretty much died. My thoughts are fine, but the speech, reading and writing will probably never get back to where it was before the stroke.

But I'm happy. I'm in love (27 years anniversary) and I have a lot of love in my life. What more do I need?

Sorry it hasn't been getting better. I hope they come up with a new treatment to help with the speech, reading, and writing. Reading your post, I wouldn't know you had problems. I'm glad that you can still get on and interact.

Jaia is still doing well. He's 13 years old, which is good for a German Shepherd. He walks every day and likes to play with he "dad" every once in a while. When he leaves us, we'll probably have a couple more pound puppies. I can't imagine life without dogs...

Great hearing from you! I miss the dog avvy. Love hearing you and the dog (and other assorted humans in your circle) are doing well.

I still prefer almost any dog to most people. Some things will never change.
