That's a very nice story, and quite comforting to me in my current situation. Even though a few of the details are different, the overall situation is very similar.

She and her husband had divorced, and the two of us started getting together. BOTH of us were not looking for the linear progression that often is a part of a budding relationship. Nope. We wanted to just have fun without any pressure. Friends. It was six months before we even kissed.

I guess that's part of the key to love and healthy relationship: a solid friendship first, but with an added romantic aspect, and also being comfortable with oneself and not dependent on someone else.

I didn't get that either, but I have met many women announcing that they have given up sex, only to turn around one day and take the plunge again - unless it was due to a physical impediment, that is. Why do you have to be in love to have sex?
