He has always referred to himself as a blue collar worker. He doesn't have a graduate degree. He is not a stock investor. He is a builder who hires tens of thousands of employees. And today he gets in a truck making funny faces.

When I see Trump standing on the corner outside of a Home Depot, waiting to hop in the back of a truck in order to find a days work to put groceries on the table, I'll consider him "blue collar".

Until then, he's nothing more than a poser trying to play politics in order to appease the gullible.

Edit:

Do you know who's also known for "being in a truck"?

Lot lizards.

I suppose that's fitting considering what politicians do for a living.

That was for a tv show.

It's different when you do the work because you have to feed your family.

One is honorable. The other is theater.

I managed a Motel at one time. Way out in the country. My ex husband and I did everything. He also commuted almost 2 hours to a job in the city 3 or 4 times a week. There were no other employees. 29 rooms. 24 hours open, I was up at 3am every other night to check people in.

We had free rent (was sort of 2 motel rooms with a kitchen added on to the motel laundry room) and a tiny salary that was often late.

When I became pregnant, the owners that owned about 45 Motel properties said NO when I asked if I could hire a girl from the village at minimum wage to help clean rooms during busy local events (an airplane show and a religious thing at Six Flags called Kingdom Bound and a couple other things in the summer). I was almost 3 months along when I asked, it was just a week or so after I knew. I gave them as much notice as possible. We stayed on almost 2 more months.

THAT is running a hotel to support your family.

i dont get this at all so he got in a truck ?
as for working reminds me of my self centered son .
Me 51 painting a few rooms Omg dad you haven't fixed the car today as well ? umm no?
I built 3 pools ! ( first that is a flat out lie but ok lets say he did build 3 pools so what I should paint the house and fix the car in the same time frame if i do less then i am less ?
frankly to the women who was preggers working at a hotel ok you worked hard so now Trump must be preggers and do it to 7 months to be considered a hard worker ?
frankly this whole self cented thing is even worse then The PC thing .
the world isnt you nore my son you both need to realize someone who may work a less demanding job is just as much working for what they need as you are
And you working preggers does not mean there working has less value then yours .
heck going be value along Trumps is billions .
Sounds to me like your resentful .

Trump is 70 and that's about time dementia set in. That clown show in the truck Has me convinced. I know his followers want to support him but it must be getting harder and harder to do that with his constant sillyness.
Sad really, really, really sad, believe me it's so sad.

That was for a tv show.

It's different when you do the work because you have to feed your family.

One is honorable. The other is theater.

Have you ever actually visited one of his construction sites when he was there? How about his hotels? Do you really know anything about how he works or how he treats his employees beyond what CNN has told you? Do you know anything about the work ethic he instilled in his children and how he did it? Or how he developed his own work ethic?

When he visits his sites he talks to his employees, he gets to know them and their families. He is engaged with the people hired to work at his sites. He wants them to be proud of their work. That's why he has people working for him that have been with him for decades. And they are all better off for having worked for him because he is a very fair and generous employer. That information comes from people who actually have those long-term relationships with him and his companies. I trust their words just a bit more than what the pretty boys and girls on msm have to say about the guy.

But if you want to believe what the talking heads say, it's a free country for parrots.

He works 14-16 hours a day. That's why he has traditionally had at least two executive assistants, he only expected them to work a normal 8 hour day. Most of us couldn't keep up with him when it comes to working hard. I expect that this draining of the swamp that he's attempting is probably the hardest job he's ever tackled. So you can call it theater if you wish but doing so just makes you look silly when your most evident product is continuous silly posting on an internet forum.
