I just finished to do the dishes and as I walked to the living room I found my dad looking at the new bookshelf I installed earlier.
' You did a good job with this son ' he said which was a pretty huge compliment from him.
' I tried,' I said ' hope it will hold,'
The feeling I wanted to ask him something important just swept over me, but I couldn't remember what.
' How are you anyway? I haven't see you in ages,' I asked instead.
' Well you know same old same old ', he smiled with that smirk he always had when he didn't tell me the whole story. ' Since I moved all my pain
is gone, like this new place is a miracle. Mom misses you I think, you should see her more often' .
The question I wanted to ask him, the one I felt is so important still wouldn't come to my mind and by now it started to bother me, why I can't
remember?
' You know her, always keeps busy, even with the cancer she would not stop, I just went to see her before I came here ' he said looking at me with
his deep blue eyes I adored all my life.
' I know dad ' I said ' but you know I am extremely busy lately. I promise I will visit her tomorrow.
And all sudden the thing I wanted to know, the one question burned me all this time just popped in my mind and literally shocked me, scared me and
made me very sad in a quick moment.
' Dad, how are you here? You passed years ago? '
Then, I woke up...
The End
