Objects persist into the now they do not disappear into the past as our thoughts seemingly do. Objects do not even disappear when changing from one location to another. Objects persist into the now. Objects exist in a timeless domain or eternal domain and they cast shadows of eternity. the shadow of Eternity doesn't move only the object that cast it moves.

Odds are, that if we ever discover Faster than Light travel, we will also discover time travel. The two technologies are basically the same.

The only thing left to keep us sane would be the rule in Quantum Mechanics that an event/state only becomes definite once it is observed. So observed history would be unchangeable.

But other than that the whole concept of time would become pretty meaningless.

Time is slow motion. Not forward motion. It is the resistance that keeps you from being omnipresent.

Time is the only thing that gives work value. Time is matter, time is money, time is a conciousness trap keeping you from seeing goals already achieved outside of the slow-mo perception machine. Time is the future recorded as the past, and shot back at the future it mirrors.
