Vector i see it like this. Somebody had to tell everyone how the dirty Government insiders were screwing us. It's about time imo because people have been blind so long, they just agree and go along with whatever they're told. Denying ignorance isn't one of their forte's.

Snowden has my respect! Huge balls the size of a tennis ball!

I think his balls are bigger than tennis balls.

Bowling balls would describe Snowdens balls more accurately.

Try telling this to Trump.

Instead of calling Snowden a "traitor", he should be thanking him for exposing the government's illegal activities.

The same illegal activities which have been used to warrantlessly spy on Trump as well as EVERY American.

The same Surveillance State that Trump wants to expand.

Lets hope that Trump has learned something from this experience.

I don't disagree at all.

I think Snowden went wrong when he included other countries in his leaks. He was a government contracted employee with access to top secret info.

Wikileaks isn't a government contracted employee, they go with what they are given. Snowden should have just turned his info over to wikileaks anonymously and avoided his whole predicament.

Vector99,

There was no way he could have released that information to the public, without releasing it to everyone else as well. His hands were tied, he did what was right given the choices before him.

Calling him a traitor, is like calling a person who catches a baby thrown from a burning building a child abuser.

I don't know that I trust Wikileaks 100%. The only person I'd trust is Myself at that point. There's a thread about it somewhere here.

Anyway, In his position, I would tend to be over cautious in whom I trusted with this type of information.

That's one of the things that pisses me off with Trump, he claims he loves wikileaks and then calls Snowden a traitor. Quite the contradiction.

Rubber, meet road.

I've probably been targeted by these programs, as have many of you. Perhaps I'll be targeted again for posting this thread.

Literally every internet connected device with mic and/or camera is on a permanent record and the data simply archived. I doubt anyone has actually looked into the data that corresponds to any of us unless specific combinations of key words warranted a second opinion.

Its funny but, there are books and tv shows that hinted of these capabilities since the late 90's as far as I can remember. Think Enemy of State, TV Show 7 days (a subliminal hint that their data capacity was growing and records could be accessed on anyone for up to a week), Eagle Eye, and a host of others.

Basically if you learn to read through the propaganda, you can kind of see and understand what the underlying message is. Elysium, Chappie, Robocop, those capabilities not only exist, but they telling us this will be normal in society starting in a decade.

But yes, Edward Snowden did a super honor to the CT people and the human race in general. Because finally, people had to admit all this time we were not as crazy as the media wanted them to believe we were.

If the roles were reversed and Snowden defected to the US with Russia's secrets, Putin would have sent an army Polonium bearing assassins and Snowden would have been dead for his treason rather quickly.

Nah, Snowden is a rare gem, a gold mine of information, they protect him like the crown jewels.

What do you mean before the 20th January? Trump blasted Obama for showing leniency to Manning and has already called Snowden a traitor and the he 'deserves to be executed'.

Can you stop pretending otherwise? It's full of crap around here with the rest of the Trump fan boys as it is.

He is, I only wish people would Seize the moment and stop taking their freedoms for granted by denying those who would hand it to them as Snowden and others have. These people should be commended not dishonoured.

What am I nit picking? You explicitly stated every one in power before Trump thought of Snowden as a traitor, implying that Trump thinks otherwise - basically, you lied.

Relax yourself, I'm only picking you up on your lies.

You're one of those people that uses the term 'lies' to trigger people.
