Residing in asbestos cave
Tungsten lights along green walls
With my little microwave
Bordering on insane

Thinking ever in living color
Seeing that, though never seen
With my little microwave
Whose thoughts do not refrain

Bordering on Insane
Whose thoughts do not refrain?

Beholding John in wiry cloth
Knowing now why he was wroth
And yet not so, but only seemed
To the evil, evil team

Yet some came to the water then
Feeling what is now the end
To the evil, evil team
Knowing what is now the end

How do I say, "I am sorry"?
Sorrow has overcome me
When do I say, "I am sorry"?
Time's not on my side
How do I say, "I am happy"?
When I know it's a lie

Laying in asbestos cave
Tungsten out, departing the walls
Bordering on insane
My thoughts do not refrain

Very well done.

You have captured angst, bottled it, and I am enjoying the taste you have shared with us.

Thank you Mike.

Just getting tired of all the political flame around here. I figured I'd start sharing some of my writing over time.

I hear that, although I won't lie I have gotten sucked in a few times myself.

Please share more, I look forward to it!

P.S.
Please don't call me mike,
My friends call me meathead: )

Yeah, me too.

And I prefer my emotions to not come out over there.

So I will share more. I have so much material, it is hard to know which exactly to share. Also, how to pace the posting...? It would take me years to post all of my material if I shared three pieces a day. Not all poems. Many are actually the lyrics of songs I write and sing in public, but I am able to morph my stories into poems, songs into poems, and vice versa.

Ugh... I haven't written a new piece in 5 months until this latest contest. I borrowed from one of my songs and created a monologue of my thoughts about a certain thing using the song's main theme.

I must be in the mood to write, though. Look at all of this.

Alright, meathead. Thanks for the encouragement.
