I feel he should send it to whatever organizations will be assisting those in Mosul or Aleppo rebuild their communities, and not the corrupt Red Cross who bloats their administrators to absorb much of the funds.

Mostly because $400,000 will go much farther in either of those cities then they would here in America. In this country with our leaders, $400,000 will merely pay for an impact study on the necessity of a 1/4 mile of sidewalk that ends up not even being built.

Considering Trump must be getting millions in pension from the Trump organization and Hollywood, he does not need to keep any of his presidential salary. This is good for PR.

In reality it will probably go to Trump Steaks For the Homeless. It's like you people forget who the other half of the media is. Doesn't Trump just dis-invite CNN and stuff now too? You also have to love how it being donated is 'no compensation'. And is now an issue. And he constantly refuses it blah-blah. The amount of snakes, you really think they will let his salary go? The easiest solution would be to do what is proposed: Just do not pay him; there; boom; done. The drama.

As I understand it you cannot refuse to take a salary, you can choose to donate it all... which he said he would do some time back.

3 U.S. Code § 102 - Compensation of the President requires the U.S. government to pay a salary to the president. There is no legal way for Trump to stop said payment.

Donation is his only option.
