Liberals want it to be a perfect world where everyone is taken care of as long as others pay for it.

So I guess everyone's tax dollars going toward trillions in military spending and foreign aid is OK. We're certainly all paying for that! Many
Americans don't agree with our intrusive foreign policy and it's involvement in world conflicts. Our constitution grants a military to defend our
homeland not to police the world.
I guess it's also OK for someone to take money out of your retirement savings account to help pay for over spending by others, or to provide for
people who never deposited money into your account? Because that's exactly what has happened to Social Security! American's have paid into Social
Security their entire life, for most it's their retirement life line. Yet our government decides when and how much we get in return and dips into
that account to cover for over spending and for people who never paid a cent into it!! If you or I did this, it would be called embezzling and we
would find ourselves behind bars! Yet our representatives continue to take advantage of public funds for their own over- spending.
God forbid, you would lose your job and healthcare benefits, fall ill, and need expensive treatments to preserve your life. From your perspective, if
you didn't have the ability to pay, our "brotherly love country" should just kick you to the curb and let you die! In the mean time, if our
government creates a conflict overseas and needs your son or daughter to serve and sacrifice their lives for their country, they have a constitutional
right to force them into service! Don't you think your government at least owes its citizens the right to preserve their lives, a life free of
homelessness and starvation in return for laying their lives down for their country??? If not, what reason does a person need to fight for if they
don't have their health or a happy life? Most would just pack their bags and look for greener pastures elsewhere.
I and many others want to believe America is different. It's a country that cares about their fellow man. Unfortunately, there are more countries
who provide for their citizens than the good ole USA. The U.S. is quick to point out the lack of human rights of other countries, but they ignore the
basic right for all of humanity. That is "to save and preserve your God given life!!!" To say this is not a human right is really being callous or
you have never been in the position where you couldn't afford a life saving treatment. Most people wouldn't walk by a person who desperately needed
help on the street.
I get tired of people saying, "well my money is going towards these people who are not supporting themselves, blah, blah, blah." They act like
they're carrying all the Burdon just on their shoulders! The portion of American tax dollars going toward helping out fellow citizens is a drop in
the hat compared to how much of our money is going toward supporting a military and foreign aid budget that spends trillions of dollars a year! Just
think how much a fraction of that money could go toward providing health care to American citizens.
As far as welfare is concerned, sure our politicians need to re-structure those laws so it entices people to work for that government check. Handing
out a "free check" and getting nothing in return is only causing some people from not helping themselves. However, these programs are intended as a
safety net for people who through no fault of their own have lost their jobs or have fallen in tough times. Just think what would have happened to
people during the depression if they didn't have a government program to help feed it's citizens during an economic collapse! Make no mistake, but
These programs are also a safety net for you and I. Just because you never needed it, doesn't mean you or a loved one may need it someday. I would
rather have my tax dollars go toward education, healthcare, food to feed the hungry, the homeless and unemployed, and infrastructure, rather than a
war machine. In addition, along with billions of dollars in foreign aid to a country like Israel that is fully capable of supporting themselves!
We have representatives who are making salaries above and beyond most Americans for a job that should only be temporary and not a life long career.
They have healthcare benefits most people could only wish for! Yet I guess it's ok for our government to use our tax dollars for these high salaries
and benefits and than pass legislation which provides much less or nothing to their own constituents!
It's kind of telling when we don't hear complaining from countries who provide healthcare to all their citizens. Yet the U.S. has been arguing and
complaining about the cost of healthcare for years! The U.S. will eventually pass another healthcare bill, which again will not address the high
costs and leave many Americans without access to healthcare. Insurance companies will continue to tell your doctor what specific treatments they're
allowed to perform. That certainly isn't FREEDOM for someone who is paying hundreds of dollars a month in healthcare premiums.
