The Rebel sell, AKA nation of rebels

Anyone read this?? great book. Really introduces a new way a viewing the system. The book argues that the driving motion of the system is not conformity, but the opposite rebelllion. It is competive consumption that fuels the movement of capitals it is those who proceed to achieve distinction among their peers that keep this system moving. After reading this book I felt almost helpless, the hope that I had of escaping and changing the system had disipated. Because essentially escapement and change is what the system needs. Aside from that their is much more that I could mention however I suggest everyone to indulge themselves in this read. The authors make a well rounded argument.
