But when the rights of a hundred thousand people start overpowering the rights of a hundred million, that is not good. You can't give one small group more rights than the masses, that will cause tension. Equal rights is good, going too far always makes things swing far the other way. Like prohibition did.

I myself do not understand how it feels to be another gender in the "wrong" body. It is, however, an accepted medical fact.
As far as "religious" concerns ... what would those be? I must have missed the verses in the Bible that say "Thou shalt not pee with someone of the opposite sex."
In fact, the Bible talks about our souls as being "neither male nor female like the angels."
If that's the nature of our souls (and I'm not saying it is or isn't), from a religious point of view, how is someone's genital status anyone's business?

Seems to be a fundamental point of liberty to me that someone should be able to use the bathroom of the gender they are.
