Reports: Armed man inside school in Germany.

A man armed with weapons has been found inside a school in the German town of Menden, media reports revealed on Wednesday.

According to reports, students were told through the loudspeaker to stay in their classrooms, but further details remain unclear. The police has been at the scene for about an hour now and the area around the school has been closed off, reports said.

Just breaking on Sky News, this is the only link I can find right now though apart from what they are saying on tv.

Fingers crossed this ends safely, I'm hoping that the fact that he hasn't gone in guns blazing, means there may be room for negotiations.

Not sure of the age group of the kids yet, not that it matters, guns and schools are never a good thing to see on a news report.

Just 'cause they didn't catch him fast enough, which proves that we need more security and a bigger Nanny State!

What worries me more is that people on twitter are disappointed that there was no shooter. What a sad world we live in. I hope they catch the idiots and throw the book at them. False alarms are not cool. There is no excuse for this crap.

last time they got the day confused.... nothing happened 'last night' but the night after.
maybe this time there was confusion in the weapon which should be used, because 'pro gunners' would rather see a machete used...
