Well we might not be able to get there with our current technological limitations, but someday we will be able to travel around the galaxy. Einstein's theory of special relativity allows the possibility. Look at it this way, take a smart phone for example, and try to imagine it in 1970, try to imagine it in 1900... Expand your mind.

Wrong. You have no idea how big the galaxy is or why those technological limitations are in place. Now, our intelligent robotic offspring -- which could have the ability to sleep for tens of thousands of years -- might eventually wander the galaxy, but once they get smart enough to do it, maybe they won't be motivated to do it.

you are going by what we know now, if only people like you were around from the start, we would still be in caves, evolution will see us able to travel the Universe that is inevitable.
