I'm fascinated by the past of my country.
I love a good mad theory, but I also like to know what the archaeologists are saying.
These are two resources that I have found very useful and I thought I would point others toward them.
research.historicengland.org.uk...
archaeologydataservice.ac.uk...
Although these archaeological reports are made public by English Heritage, they are not well publicised. The elitist possession of knowledge etc.
He first has some great stuff, including English Heritage's own report on the reconstruction of the stones in the early 20th century.
The second contains very poor pdfs of expensive books, such as Stonehenge in its landscape: Twentieth century excavations by R. M. J. Cleal, K. E.
Walker and R. Montague.
Costs £75 in the shops!!!!
Worthwhile info.
Wanted to share.
Enjoy.
