Wierd countdown or count....

I'm not sure if this is where this post belongs but this is my best guess as where to post it. Anyway, some years ago I'm thinking 1995 or 1996 I seem to remeber a countdown or something counting up on a AM Radio station. I lived in Seattle WA at the time, I'm wondering does anyone else here remember anything like that?
