Theresa May: UK and US must stand strong together

I also heard that she is looking to do a 'trade' deal whereby American companies come here to run the NHS....any one else heard of this?

There was a time before Baghdad was bombed when every thinking soul on the planet was saying 'Don't do it! Don't do it!' Then they did it.

During the build-up I'd seen the US planes, very heavily laden, low and slow struggling to gain height.

We won't need the massive stores of US weapons or the US air force facilities now we aren't doing any more invading.

The nuclear power stations here produced raw material for weapons. The clean-up from the nuclear programme has barely begun. That's a real threat posed by the muscle in the foreign policy. That's why I believe we have to support all the best elements of British policing at this critical time. Particularly since they have been under attack from government and media for years. Theresa May played a considerable role in that.

We'll have to hold our politicians to account. Support all who genuinely hold them to account. And of course work together.

South west of England reporting in, yes england is politically diverse but so is every county, city, town, village, household and even occupants of households. From a family point of view I know my mother, sister and long term girlfriend voted against Brexit and also hate trump, my grandparents and I did not but we also think that Trump will actually do good for the world long term, instead of a Clinton/Merkel superpower. Also I am not a racist/homophobic/religiously opposed maniac hell bent on bringing society to a collapse, I'm just for a shift of power to steer us away from the trajectory we were heading in.

I don't hear of any berating of Theresa May locally and I would like to think she is supported by most. She has impressed me personally, she is a good midground for reuniting the divide in our country and I am pleased she no longer wants to support a model where we roam around with America asserting dominance where it wasn't requested.

Tensions have eased already down here and people have begun to accept that people who support Brexit aren't the scum of the earth. Trump support however is still touchy ground and most daren't bring up either as a topic of conversation...

May is walking a catastrophically thin tightrope here. Lack of access to the Single Market could be a total disaster. The only advantage she has at the moment is that Labour is being led into destruction by a bearded jam-making socialist utopian. And I have nothing against jam by the way.
I have one big concern about this meeting between May and Trump. If they talk about black sites and the CIA renditioning anyone via the UK, then she needs to tell him to go to hell, as we do not torture, nor do we allow anyone to torture via our country.

I feel sorry for the children of parents who brainwash them, and then let it be known to them that if they think for themselves they will be hated by their parents and kicked out.

As a strong Trump supporter, who has friends of all races and from all walks of life, including family members of various races and sexual orientations, I also feel sorry for people who are so narrow minded that they follow the prejudice of Hillary Clinton, hating on others who do not agree with their political beliefs.

No she didn't. I suggest you actually read what SHE said and her team said, not what the media said.
She didn't say she was opening up the NHS for US investment.

Her team even said "The NHS will never be part of a trade deal and will always remain free at the point of delivery".

Scottish exports to the European Union in 2002 were just over £10bn – in 2014/15 they were just over £10bn – it hasn’t moved in over 10 years!!!!

Given the position Brexit will leave us, I can imagine she is a little desperate. If we can't trade with USA, which major nation are we going to trade with?

What she says about interventionism is fine but I thought Trump wanted to get 'boots on the ground' to fight ISIS?

It's about time some of those trillions, spent on offence, is re-directed to investments in industry, creating jobs and sharing the wealth. Rather than trying to open sovereign countries in order for the global corporations to get a foothold in.

Very probably true, Hunt put £150m NHS wards up for sale the day Trump was innaugarated to try and bury bad news - plus most NHS hospitals are already owned by private UK companies - they wear the same uniform but the badge reads NHSCare instead of NHS - very sneaky.
