Gordon Kaye ( aka Rene Artois ) R.I.P.

Gordon Kaye who played the role of " Rene Artois " in the long running BBC Comedy " 'Allo 'Allo ) has passed away age 75.

This was one of my favourite comedies and he will be sorely missed.

As Officer Crabtree would have said ( i am sorry to hear that Rene has pissed away "

while my condonances are with mr kayes family an friends

i never understood why allo allo was so popular - yet " secret army " and kessler faded into obscurity

if you watched one episode [ allo allo ] - you got the joke - and that was it - all the other epsodes were just a retelling of that same joke

R.I.P. Let's just say Rene. I, don't know, but I guess he never really recovered from that accident he had, a long time ago now. He was 75, I did think he was older, anyway a lot of laughs in that sitcom.

Officer Crabtree says, "He has just gone to pit his minny in a bonk"
