Phoenix porn studio owner to be tried on charges of running brothel

The owner of a business in an industrial area of Phoenix says he was running a legitimate porn studio where amateurs could rent cameras, lights and props to create their own sex scenes with the help of a model.

Authorities, however, say it was nothing more than a cleverly disguised brothel raking in $40,000 a month in profits.

Owner denies running a prostitution ring and in court records accuses the government of criminalizing free speech protected by the First Amendment.

Owner says the sex acts that were recorded and photographed amount to constitutionally protected free speech practiced in the same way as professional porn studios that legally operate.

Now this is interesting. I have always wondered what the difference between a porn actress and a prostitute are and the only difference I can find is a camera in the room.

I for one am for prostitution. Its the worlds oldest profession besides a hunter. What a woman wants to do with her body is none of my business.

That the recent US Supreme Court decision with regards to donating money to politicians legalizes prostitution.

Difference is: in porn everybody gets payed to just have sex. Prostitution is where one provides a sexual service for the other and gets payed.

That's a huge difference.

With legalized prostitution aka pornography, the State gets a cut in the form of taxes and licenses.

Commonplace prostitution bypasses the State. Like the mafia, you dont cut out Uncle Sam.

Sounds like they went after this guy despite his complying with the State's extortion.

Poor guy probably inadvertently filmed an elected representative, a cop or a prosecutor from the District Attorney's office.

You guys are onto something here. Its not the fact that the women were having whoopie for money on camera. Its the fact that uncle sam was not getting his cut of the 40k. Makes sense.

That's the exact same thing.

So now im curious if I open a porn business and get all the legal paperwork then hire some call girls to make "Videos" with the men would that still be a prostitution ring or just a Legit porn business.

Funny I was just thinking along similar lines, having just caught the tail end of

a conversion on the TV where a woman was called out for her morals due to

prostituting .... my thoughts being - If she was immoral what on earth
