Well, the protesters turned out to be insignificant. They made fools of themselves in a few places but got nowhere near to spoiling the day. They lost.
Trump, Pence, their families, and Trump supporters enjoyed a super day and the protesters had to watch and take it. They may as well have stayed at home and smashed some cups on the floor for all the impact they had.
