Two More Celebrity Deaths.

It has been announced that Author and Film Maker William Peter Blatty has passed away age 89.

Blatty wrote " The Exorcist " which was later turned into a film.

It has also been announced that Lord Snowdon has passed way age 86.

Snowdon was a film maker and photographer. He photographed the famous from the film and music world.

He was also the husband of the late Princess Margaret, sister of Queen Elizabeth II

he was her ex husband...they divorced after she cheated on him..he later remarried and eventually his 2ndwife divorced HIM for cheating on her.

Also Graham Taylor died yesterday.. A former manager of the England football team.

I do have to say though.. My take on this is that as we get more 'celebrities' due to Internet, hundreds of TV channels, reality TV... Etc.. We are of course going to have more deaths we hear about.. This will only increase as anyone can become 'famous' nowadays.. And more sources for news.

I liked Graham Taylor. I think he was out of his depth at international level, which was a shame, but he had some bad luck.

I remember seeing a World Cup qualifier against The Netherlands in 1993. We were 2-0 up at half time and were dominating. We lost Gascoigne to injury at half time, to be replaced by Paul Merton, who was no Gascoigne. It ended 2-2.

When you look at his club record in the 1980's it was second to no other English manager on the budget. He was almost the Clough of the 1980's, but definitely a very close contender.

Blatty's later work called 'twinkle twinkle killer kaine', also known as 'the ninth configuration' was F'ing brilliant, as was Stacey Keach's performance.
If you have not seen it, I strongly suggest a viewing,you really wont expect the ending.
To put it rather crudely, its a 'OFOT cuckoos nest', meets 'jacobs ladder'.
Going to find the DVD for tonight methinx.

I am bit pissed off that none of the obits I have seen mention Taylor's greatest achievement. Following a clash between Watford and Millwall, where a dad and his young daughter were mercilessly beaten by Millwall fans, Taylor lead the English clubs in turning the game from a spectator bloodbath into a family game. He introduced family season tickets at Watford and worked with the supporters clubs to drive the thugs underground. His strategy worked and he was greatly respected by everyone who loved the game more than the violence.

If they put Paul Merton on he would have been too busy making irreverent yet witty comments to play a decent second half.
