We both know that Trump is going to fill every position with his own people so he can do anything he wants and get away with it.

Fortunately, we still have a Constitution, even though the far right would like to see everything but the Second Amendment shredded. Now please keep your eye on the ball, not the other players.

Now that Trump is to be your President from the 21st Jan, you are right... you are very fortunate that you will still have a constitution. The wall will be a fitting and long lasting monument to his epic victory. He should officially open it with Putin as guest of honour.

This is very revealing on your lack of understanding of history. Thanks, it helps me understand you better .

I lived in Germany while it was still divided and occupied. That is why I have no illusions about German history or Russian intentions.

Supposedly landed on the Moon?

Well seen its the crazy people who despite the evidence to the contrary, refuse to accept we landed on the Moon, that want to build a wall! LoL

Build something that actually does what it say on the tin and contributes to Humanities progress in a meaningful way, make your nation great again, or build a draconian wall that serves no other purpose than as a symbolic status symbol to totalitarian rule.

I know what direction i would want to head, but that's just me.

Just keep in mind that the rest of the civilized world is watching.

By the way i think you may find that James Cameron has indeed been to a significant depth in a submersible regarding said Mariana Trench and he returned just fine.

If true, that really does explain your lack of perspective (and hysteria) when it comes to Russia.

(CNN) President-elect Donald Trump's transition team has signaled to congressional Republican leaders that his preference is to fund the border wall through the appropriations process as soon as April, according to House Republican officials.

The move would break a key campaign promise when Trump repeatedly said he would force Mexico to pay for the construction of the wall along the border, though in October, Trump suggested for the first time that Mexico would reimburse the US for the cost of the wall.

www.google.com...

Seems like Trump may have US fund border wall in hopes Mexico will repay us in the future (good luck with that). If this is true, you Trump supporters should be pissed.

Did you think we'd build the wall and then pressure Mexico for a check?? We''ll build the wall with our funds and then there's a variety of ways to be reimbursed . For example.....let's say there are ten million illegals here in the U.S. They will be given green cards (after security check) and allowed to remain here after paying a $2,000 fine , which would pay for the wall. Ten million x $2,000 = $20,000,000,000 (cost of wall) . Another way is putting a tariff on all goods coming into U.S. from Mexico, which would pay for the wall...... or a combination of the two suggestions would also work. Trump is right....Mexico will pay for the wall.

My wall design is better. auto matic robotic sentry guns placed every 500 yards loaded with tear gas and Ap rounds if need be. Equip them with cameras and employ drone operators to monitor the wall 24/7. Invaders will be shot.

Do you have even the slightest idea of how expensive that would be. Not to mention inhumane. Bizarre person.

Its not in humane. its perfectly legal as well since they are invaders but we dont do it because too many bleeding hearts. as for walling metal sheeting would suffice which is cheaper if you automate the defense. get within 3 ft of the wall you get tear gassed.(only from the mexican side) and a verbal warning from a operator. If they persist and get violent then switch to lethal ammunition.
My pops worked at fort knox. the turrets are not very exspensive they use there and those pop up out of the ground.

well we could get the UN to sanction them for allowing the immigraton to begin with because the mexicans deliberatly teach and show their people how to break our laws.

A new Air Force One costs 4 billion dollars. A new Zumwalt destroyer costs 4 billion dollars. The money for the wall was already earmarked by George W Bush. The money is there. No money problem.

What exactly is the point of a wall? Mexicans have ladders... And shovels.. Just seems so pointless.

Well, ask Mexico why they built a wall on their southern border..

How about we ask them if it solved whatever problem they built it for?

It's still up so it must have.

Really? The Great wall of China is still up lol.

And it served its purpose when it was relevant.

LMAO, no! It was a massive failure. It was such an astronomical expense that it actually helped bankrupt a dynasty.

Raiders constantly got through the wall, primarily by simply climbing over it. Some actually got through by simply going AROUND the wall!

But you want to know what the biggest issue was? It wasn't that it wasn't big enough, it wasn't necessarily because there's weren't enough people to guard the wall (because a unguarded wall is useless), it was because they simply bribed there way in!

There is no wall in the history of humanity that wasn't at some point unsuccessful. So many people here act as if it's 100% necessary and can't fail.

That mentality is lunacy

Did you really just change your argument from "You don't know history" to "You have too much firsthand experience?"

I'd argue with you, but I'm afraid you'd accuse me of having too many facts.

You could just give me the money. I'll personally chase illegals away with a stick.

Proven to be 115% more effective than the wall.

Lol.
No, but the hatred of Russia displayed is so intense it makes sense that one could be blinded to reality by personal circumstance. There are crazy ISIS terrorists that got their start hating everything American because their family was killed by US bombing in IRAQ. It's just the way it is. The hatred is real, but the personal nature destroys all objectivity.

Either way, comparing the Berlin wall and the circumstances that led to it plus the implementation and control of it, to a Mexican border wall shows no grasp of reality.

Lol.

Don't worry. Putin's cronies weren't openly exposed in the Panama papers stealing tax dollars. Putin definitely doesn't run an oppressive government according to every human rights organization or any objective observer. Russia does not brand all people who disagree with the United Russia party as traitors. Most importantly, Putin is not an ex-KGB imperialist who has surrounded himself with other ex-KGB whose primary mission was to spy on and disrupt western nations. Nothing to see here. Close your eyes and pretend like Russia is not in a new age of imperialism. They never snatched land they had agreed to give up through a nuclear agreement Russia wrote themselves due to being butthurt that the people of the country they invaded chose government representatives more friendly to capitalist, democratic governments. Russia never invaded Georgia either so you can delete that off Wikipedia too. Putin is good Putin is good. Lalalalalalalalalala.

So sorry Russia. Boohoo. More sanctions. More disparity for the people there who do not deserve to suffer under such an idiot. Always the loser. Trump will join the losers soon enough and embarass himself. Americans despise the Russian government no matter how much our incoming president wants us to like his business partners. Trump is entering with historically low favorability and the money isn't heading to Russia. This is not a game. The west needs to stay the course and press forward regardless of Trump and Putin.

Why did CNN leave out the part of his statement where he said the US funds are only to make haste and that Mexico will be paying for the wall in the end?
