Me as a callow youth and 'paid protester', at least according to the reporter. Early 90s fake news perhaps. I made page 4 of the local rag.

The dreadlocks are not real, but rather a type of seaweed I found on an Adelaide beach, and sewed into a hat. Underneath the hat I had a haircut which 'would not look out of place on a bank teller' (again the reporter's words). I have seen so many bank tellers wearing mohawks, my cut at that time.

I think this thread renew is needed, it helps bring back the unity and realism here on ATS, a reminder that we ARE people, and If i do say so myself, the best damn good looking forum on the net!

Oh, I am fairly certain some of the "people" here are nothing more than sentient bitter vitriol that learned how to type.

This is my and my partner this year for my 21st

I think threads like this are a good idea now and then. Being able to put a face to a name probably helps throttle back some of the vitriol for some folks

I agree with some of the sentiment already expressed, seeing faces makes this a more meaningful forum where "people" communicate to "people". Venting is a needed safety/sanity relief valve sometimes I believe with the bottom of my heart, but allowing oneself to become grounded again is reassuring.
I'm not active on here though I lurk and pass through a lot perusing news and ideas. Lurked for longer than I've been a member by far.
Perhaps one day I'll be more and my face will be known, when I shake the instinct to remain of the faceless...
I admire and respect the views, and knowledge, and curiosity I see here, and am heartened by the enlightened words I read on occasion. Please do not stop.
