I get so damn tired of people who act so sweet, in a plastic way it makes me want to vomit.

The more they act like plastic dolls the faker they look. Not ordinary nice but forced sweet sickly fake hugs and wanting to fit in. They pretend to know everything, can do anything. Play war games, knit, skydive, have a supposed IQ of 150 you get it I'm sure.

This time of year gets worse. Plastic smiles plastic lives. Plastic melts! Remember that.

I'm totally done with watching

Merry Plastic Christmas

I feel this way all the time. I'm always suspicious of people's motives behind their cheeriness. I've witnessed fake before.

Reminds me of the saying 'Kill them with kindness'. Not so much about kindness than a veiled act of self righteousness.

But that's just how I feel about it.

I had someone come up and hug me and tell me how much she loved me and i had never met her before. She was going with a male friend of mine and I guess he told her about my problems. But yeah, I here you.

Unfortunately I have a daughter who did the overly sweet sick thing for a while...syrupy sweet.

These folks, i think, are looking for acceptance.

Yeah totally you get it.

I avoid people like this, like the plague. They say one thing then do the opposite in like manner. Like they have a plastic manual on how to be popular and fit in. I'm also suspicious of people that do this, not worth my time. Just more Kartrashian brainwashing crap.

I can't stand people that do that either.

Sorry about your daughter, that must be hard to watch.

Sweet sickly people that can't keep their hands to themselves, I'm totally wary of. Piss off comes to mind.

Plus they laugh and giggle at everything whether it's funny or not making them appear even more plastic.

the syrupy sweet seems to be gone now, replaced with instigating an argument where none exists.

Don't know where the sickly sweetness came from but it started when she got very involved in church.

Anytime religion is involved you know it won't end well. They're not as bad as people who do though as their own personal keeping up with the Jones types who snub anyone they don't personally benefit from.

I'm more of a plastic @$$hole.

I try to act tough and not give-a-damn.

Inside I'm a nice guy with a heart of gold.

I hate pretentious jerks too. They're usually covering up poor self-esteem. That's why I act like a jerk too.

I did that once. Her hair smelled like trash. Smell at the risk of your own gag reflex.

Huggers? Gah - don't get me started.

Happily, they'll all get their comeuppance eventually. After all, they don't know where the reluctant people they hug have been.

That's one of the reasons we're reluctant right?

Infect the fools with germs and dog drool. Fa la la la LA la, la la LAAA

Hug me at your peril.

Because he'll be so much easier to digest when he's all squishy

Really, those hugs we get foisted on us are a power display.

I don't mind hugs. I love them. I just want sincere ones. Not forced ones. Not pity ones. Not I'm-better-than-you ones.

Miserable old bastards.
Unless you know someone is actually being false then take sweetness' as it is delivered.

Pretty much everyone in my social groups hug and are instinctively kind with their words.
Your lives sound hollow and bleak, bitching that people are trying to be nice.
Miserable old codgers.

You're probably right. Maybe I'm just being a Scrooge. I've personally seen the duplicity myself so I'm naturally cynical as a result. Maybe I should simply change my environment. And myself.
