Speaking of witch hunts, what happened to indicting Hillary and "Benghazi!!!" ?

Suddenly, I guess those things just aren't important anymore?

LOL ... Priorities I suppose. It was politically expedient at the time to use those two things to slag Clinton. Now that she's no longer a threat, they'll fade from memory.

And what's interesting is that there isn't a sole, single person being targeted (Ok, Putin has taken some heat the last day or two) -- but we're not having any congressional hearings or grilling anymore over this.

The amount of denail and paranoia from the right wingers reminds me of that overly paranoid and jealous girlfriend...you know, the one who accuses YOU of cheating all the time? The one who is suspicious about you?

In the end, it turns out she was the one doing the cheating all along.

I can't tell you how many guys I've known who've either had that happen to them, or acted like that when they were the cheating party. Projection and deflection, it peaks when there's real fear of the truth behind the scenes.

If it wasn't true at all, you'd think they'd laugh it off and try to let it die out on its own. I mean, if it's really fake, won't the truth set everyone free in the end and just make the Democrats look stupid? Why get so huffy and histrionic?

Yeah, that all might be true.

I was speaking more along the lines of :
"IMMIGRANTS DONT PAY TAXES, THEY ARE A PARASITE TO OUR SOCIETY"
"TRUMP SHOULDN'T HAVE TO PAY TAXES. NOT PAYING TAXES IS THE BEST POSSIBLE THING FOR AMERICANS TO DO"

It's interesting how talking about Trump's Taxes only ever ends up in deflection, or completely redefining what taxes are for, or if they even need to be paid. Yes, I understand he contributes money sometimes to our Government, if not recently, however ignoring Trump, and just inspecting the way the Right acts to specific things like this is extremely confusing.

It's plain as day they're a mob, and their rules are made up on the fly at gunpoint to the system and even lynch their own over the smallest deviations of the group-thought.

You hear it so often, and more so here than anywhere else that the 1% are all evil and use working class lumps like us to feather their own nests, Now we have the Trumpet employing the 1% in postitions of serious power but, hey it's fine, they are all just successful business men/women and everything will be great again...

The 1% have made their money from the sweat of everyone else but themselves, They will continue to do so.

Of course the climate is changing. It has always changed over time and it always will. Global Warming (disastrous changes driven exclusively by minor increases in carbon dioxide levels due to fossil fuel usage) is a load of bull-hockey, and always has been. The entire population of the planet can tell me that crap don't stink... it doesn't change the fact it still smells bad.

This a good point. We all seem to agree that climate is changing as it always has. But, should we give up our edge over the other creatures on this planet, knowledge and adaptability?

Yes, always.

The business owners you mention were still paying workers, they just were not expanding to hire more workers. They fell into the category of big business. They were not going to expand no matter how much money was thrown at them. Finish reading my post and you will see I said exactly that. Still, the income those business owners got 'trickled down' to their employees.

So far as not raising their pay, do you search out the most expensive product you can find? Or for you pay the lowest price available? The issue with not raising pay is that at this time the business owners can replace a worker easily; there's not enough jobs to go around. If the economy rebounds and it becomes difficult to replace workers, wages will increase and working conditions will improve.

Again, it takes more than throwing money at the problem. To get trickle-down to work, expandable and start-up businesses must be encouraged to expand. That's more a function of regulation than free Federal money.

We need that kind of business experience to turn our Government into an efficient, business

No, government is not a business

True. Government doesn't produce anything except regulations and taxes.

and if it becomes one it won't represent the majority of Americans who aren't business owners.

That doesn't make any sense.

Because all those things are HUGE signs of impending corruption and collusion.

Wealth isn't a sign of corruption.
