There is such a thing as non-celiac gluten sensitivity that seems to tag along with various auto-immune disorders.

Honestly it is a rage, and certain celebrities have premoted a "gluten free lifestyle". I've had a couple of celiac friends, so I'm aware of their needs. There is also a Non-celiac gluten sensitivity (NCGS) condition, with gastric issues. So when most "gluten free" people who are not celiac claim they have issues they think they are gluten sensitive. Usually without a diagnosis, and based off the unproven symptoms (yes I stole that from Wikipedia, I can never remember all the claims) such as: headache, migraine, "foggy mind", fatigue, fibromyalgia, joint and muscle pain, leg or arm numbness, tingling of the extremities, dermatitis (eczema or skin rash), atopic disorders such as asthma, rhinitis, other allergies, depression, anxiety, iron-deficiency anemia, folate deficiency, or autoimmune diseases.

Even mental disorders are said to be caused by this sensitivity: schizophrenia, eating disorders, autism, peripheral neuropathy, ataxia, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)

Generally I nod and smile. But as a scientist I often want to Gibbs slap them.

There is such a thing. Im sure folks who have severe gastritis, hypochondriacs, and a few random folks whose doctors stumbled across it somehow would know.

But lets be honest: that is but a small portion of the market for this stuff.

I would suggest reading the book 'it starts with food' and learning about a program called Whole30.
you never know, it might change your life, it'll certainly change your life expectancy.

as they say - nobody ever died from eating healthy food.
