I'm afraid now to even text "Hey, let's just swing by Pizza Hut" ... as that may be interpreted now by people as some kind of log cabin in the woods.

Interesting comment....it would appear for some the battle of the mind is already lost.....

There was no battle.

I can sniff the *blank* from the shineola pretty easily.

We see these things occasionally online. Anyone remember the creepy abandoned childcare building they found on Reddit? They went on and on about that one. Then there's all the Sandy Hook garbage about it being fake.

People always want there to be "more to the story".

Look, life is actually pretty boring and people actually eat real pizza. This is almost as crazy as those numerology people that see hidden meanings in every number in plain sight.

Is there human trafficking and horrible things done to children. Yes, of course.

People that engage in this kind of sick behavior use the term "pizza" because it's what's used on the deep web. That's where they learn to use it. Why in the hell would they flippantly and stupidly email on the clearnet (normal internet) about it? If they're already using Tails and Tor to access these shady corners of cyberspace, why would they just ignore all that and put it in normal emails? They wouldn't.

It's like how people claim Hilary is totally inept and incompetent, is weak and magically a war hawk and master criminal with an amazing body count under her belt...yet she can't seem to keep secrets within her own campaign and office. Or hire people smart enough to keep her emails secret. So, which is it?

I call this disconnect "quantum effect" people attribute both ends of the spectrum to something.

So these people are horrible molesters, engaging in a shady underworld where specialized computer software is used -- where any misstep can cause you to end up in a law enforcement sting. . . Yet they're also stupid enough to use email to discuss it?

The doublespeak here is insane...not surprising, doublespeak is used to keep cognitive dissonance from setting in and driving people crazy.

In reply to 1:

Far-right fascists want to prove that the left needs to be eliminated wholesale. Gaining control of the wheels of government is only the beginning for them. Of course the entire right is not populated with such folk, but right now those folk are rather powerful. Therefore, I do not buy into the "no motive" argument. They've plenty of motive.

In reply to 2:

I think it noteworthy that Snopes was able to demonstrate that the photos attributed to the owner were actually harvested from Yelp reviews, not from the owner's Instagram. This fact echoes much of what has been going on during the last year in terms of deliberate manipulations and deceptions on the part of people who would like to see the US become a "Fash Nation".

In reply to 3:

It was begun by a husband and wife team, who by the way have no trace of partisanship, and has several editors fact-checking. FactCheck.org analyzed their work and found them to be free of bias. Of course the radical fascists who are currently gaining control in the United States find everyone concerned with fact and not propaganda to be partisan and biased. You've made your ad hominem slightly more sophisticated, here, but it's still an ad hominem.

In reply to 4:

No, it has not been shown. It has been claimed, and with little merit. Does she float? Does she not? Witch either way.

Yes, time will tell. Not so long from now, history will judge quite harshly the facilitators and propagators of lies in the name of white supremacy and similar agendas. Good luck to you. Walk in peace. Eschew the violent.

1) lol...now who's the one with the crazy conspiracy theories? Do you have any proof whatsoever that elements within the Republican party are responsible for creating this story? I'm guessing not.

You still haven't addressed why the Republicans would stoop/resort to this level when they already control all 3 branches of US govt.

2) The photos came directly from the owner of Comet Pizza's Instagram account, and other Instagram accounts linked to his. Snopes has proved nothing, + more unsubstantiated conspiracy theories.

You still haven't addressed how Snopes came to their irrefutable conclusion that this is a hoax story when there has been no 'official' investigation, Snopes has done no investigation, and their sources have done no investigation.

3) A simple Google search regarding examples of their partisanship will, not surprisingly, show a different outcome, as do the clickbait ads on www.snopes.com. They are not 100% free of bias. Therefore, all they're good for is to screen ads that tell me that I can save up to $598 on my car insurance by switching to Geico, that some company called Libratone has great speakers, and that Alaska Airlines has great deals on flights. A site like this is hardly trustworthy enough to provide be-all, end-all word on the truth of any rumor, internet or otherwise. And anyone that thinks they are is a moron.

Ad hominem....I do not think it means what you think it means.

4) You do not wish to see, so you don't.

I think you're pretty much done here, bro.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and just assume you are a young fellah with a whole lot of learning to do about the reality of the world we live in....

These kinds of things i would like to be fake, at this point as i have mentioned before there is just way too much suspicion to be throwing out the baby with the bathwater......

There are a whole lot of nasty perverted and creepy things going on in this world and at no point should we turn a blind eye simply because it is distasteful...

You are entitled to your opinion just do not be surprised if others do not share your views ...Our experiences in life mold who we are and what we believe...your views will change greatly as you mature of the next 20 years or so....

Stop wasting everyone's time.

There's mountains of evidence you've chosen to ignore, let alone refute. Your actual thoughts on this suggest a severe lack of research.

Beyond that, your general analytical ability isn't impressive in the least. You're so hung up on right vs left and the GOP out to get the left. You seriously think there's no Republicans involved? Did you have your head stuck in the sand with all the sick crap surrounding Bush Sr during his time in DC? None of this is about the left vs the right. It could be more the left right now as they've been in power but the issue is this crap pops up all over the world no matter what side of the aisle.

Either way, you've refuted nothing. I understand to the naive and less experienced, they can't and won't believe something like this happens and happens all over the place, that child sex trafficking and abuse is rampant among the powerful in governments globally. But that's not an argument.

The story and allegations weren't in the MSM cycle on Nov. 4. They still aren't even MSM newsworthy topics today. To suggest that they somehow swayed the election results by the general electorate that are content with watching Faux News or the ClintonNewsNetwork is just silly, as probably 99.9% of the US electorate knew nothing about this story on Nov. 8.

No, he didn't address it.

Please explain to me how, to the 'religious right', Trump's admission of being friends with Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted solicitor of underage sex, and his admission of visiting Epstein's alleged child trafficking orgy island, changes things positively for them throughout his term. Trump's involvement with Epstein has been a footnote of this story from day 1. So maybe it will change Trump's presidency; for the worse.

I'm probably older than you think. Either way, my ages is irrelevant. Just sayin'.

Don't mistake my ability to learn computers as some kind of naivety. Trust me, I have seen depravity, probably more than you.

It appears you aren't aware of how these people go about doing what they do, and why the FBI has had to work very hard to infiltrate and setup the "honeypots" that they have.

People like this don't behave in flippant ways like this, and the straws that are being grasped are so ludicrous...well, we ought to get Ludacris himself in here. He at least can maybe sing us all a song.

These honey pots as you mention have likely been running and successfully trapping victims for a long time and it is only being exposed now through various alternative means ....Just because they have not been caught before does not mean it has not been happening....

Sadly even law enforcement can be manipulated to stay quiet or turn a blind eye......

All i am saying is keep your eyes and ears open regardless...

That's a very pretty straw man you've built. I didn't say "Republicans". I side far-right fascists. Is it your intention to make the two inseparable? Because that's what your argument implies. I'll go even further with my "crazy conspiracy theories": these fascists have been aided by Russian hackers in service of Putin. That's beyond this topic, though, so I'll not elaborate.

No, they did not. They were harvested from other accounts. If you have evidence to suggest Snopes is mistaken in their analysis, I implore you to post it. Otherwise, it is your word against mine, Snopes, and the much deplored "Main Stream Media". Please do post evidence and deny me the ignorance you believe I hold. It would be a service to us all.

Sigh all you want. You said that people did not believe it could happen. That isn't the case.

Has it been done by the people being accused in pizzagate? Could be but, the "mountain of evidence" doesn't convince some people.

To me it seems like a push of an agenda much like the satanic scare of the 80's and 90's. Seen it before so don't blame me if I don't knee-jerk.

Shifting goalposts.

The spirit cooking story was out and that probably shifted some votes and Pizzagate may have been started for the same reason but it didn't build up enough steam before the elections still, it isn't just about the elections.

That is a strawman.

Makes no difference if that helps them or not. They now have their people in place and can be heard. They will push their agenda all the same.

Ad hominem....straw man....I remember Internet Forums 101. As with ad hominem, I'm not sure you understand entirely what a 'straw man' argument is, since I haven't made one here.

Please, start listing all these 'far right fascists' of which you speak. I don't recall the 'Fascist' ticket on the ballot. All I've seen, in, you know, real life, are regular, old, re-tread, GOP Republicans that just handed Hillary's taint back to her because the Dems are mostly a bunch of elitist, self righteous #s that don't understand the plight of the average US citizen in middle USA. These Repubs are not fascists, no matter what you'd like to label them. If you think they are, then by all means, provide supporting evidence.

And on top of that, you expect me to now believe that the age old GOP boogeyman that is the Russian communist threat is assisting the Republicans in their win of the US govt, and that the GOP colluded with them in this?? Oh man, you must be a millennial, as I know very well what these same Trump GOP appointees think about Russia from when they served various positions back in the 70's/80's.

As far as the Instagram account photos, they came from the Instagram accounts of the people involved. Again, Snopes has proved nothing. No, they were not harvested from other accounts. Screen shots were saved by various users and posted in Reddit, 4chan and other sites. These screen shots are not 'photoshopped'. If you can prove otherwise, please do.

Are you gonna tell me next that the 'Twittergate' accounts are all fake too because Snopes said that they were harvested from Yelp accounts? lol

Yes. In conclusion I'm saying that Snopes is a very poor choice to hang your hat on for an answer to any rumor. If you can't see this, then there's little hope for you. They're a clickbait site and nothing else. There's no need for me to substantiate further as a simple trip to their site will show you that it's on par with Infowars for accuracy of information, though I would bet that Alex makes more $$$.

Oh, and...lmgtfy.com...

That human trafficking and pedophilia happen is a matter of record. It is clear and irrefutable as evidenced by countless legal findings, arrests, convictions, investigations, and so forth.

That there is a secret Satanic organization operating at the highest levels of power in various world governments--including our own, as evidenced by the Podesta emails--is completely, totally unfounded.

Sigh if you want.
