Three Dutch warships that were sunk during World War Two have 'vanished' from the sea bed, sparking an investigation.

The HNLMS De Ruyter, HMLMS Java and HMLMS Kortenaer were all downed by the Japanese during the Battle of the Java Sea in 1942.

However, their wrecks were discovered 'intact' off the coast of Indonesia by amateur divers in 2002, 60 years after the deadly naval battle.

But now, an expedition to mark the upcoming 75th anniversary of the event has found that the ships have mysteriously vanished, officials say.

Why the fuss? The stuff was down there in a seabed junk yard and the ETs need some already refined metal. And if they didn't do it, the Chinese certainly did, wouldn't you think? Probably a cheaper supply of steel than buying junked American cars as they have been doing. Afterall, automobiles have getting more and more plastic every year!

There is an ongoing thread on this subject, it is not just Dutch warship's but British, US and Australian that have suffered this fate, the Japanese don't seem to fussed about there's so no comment there.
