Something strange going on, Internet "grind to a halt?"

Nothing is moving on reddit, 4chan is a complete mess with distraction threads, google seems to be on complete damage control mode. Twitter is doing the trending dance. Anyone noticing or am I just seeing things?

Even ATS seems slow considering what's happening tonight.

I was on when Twitter + Wikileaks were attacked at the same time, but no problems since.

I don't mean slow as in ddos or internet usage slow, I mean content per second slow. For example, take a look at reedits all page, It's frozen in time, New posts are only showing up every 10+ minutes. That's completely out of charicter.

Edit, once i logged in its showing normal again post every 3 minutes or so.

ATS for me is the fastest it has been for several months.

I do not know where you are posting from, but quite a few UK and European members have been having problems for some weeks, if not longer. Slow page loads, lag, server failing to return results...

Strange indeed that it would be now that the internet chooses to throw a wobbly. Mind you, perhaps this is a traffic issue, with everyone throwing the last volleys of vitriol before the point becomes moot?

For clarification i don't mean "slow" in the "lag ddos #y internet" sense.

It is true. All of those sites have been slow to load on and off.

That's because they're attempting to rewire everything in pieces.

If they did it all at once, it would go 'International'. And they don't want that do they?

They're trying to damage as much as they can before Trump takes over so they can shift the blame onto him, as usual.

If your point is that people are not posting very much, have you considered the timezone effect?
All good Americans are quiet in their beds at this time of day, which has always had an impact on ATS posting.

Kim Kardashian broke the internet again with one of her posterior selfies. Functionality will return to normal shortly.

My guess is that the OP lives not far west of the dateline and is already close to midnight on Monday, making the Tuesday vote "tonight" or at least "tomorrow night".

I was going to post a thread saying almost the exact thing.

The last 2 weeks, my internet has been slow... pages finding it real difficult to move onto the next page, also refreshing seemed to have been taking longer. Today though it seems to be back to normal.
