Used my lunch break to early vote here in Houston TX. I figured who is going to be early voting early afternoon on a Monday. Thought I would be in and out in 10 min.

I was wrong. Nowhere to park and it was a big parking lot. Line formed an L that wrapped halfway around the building. I caught some conversations and people were saying this has never happened except on election day. I did not see any pro Hillary or Trump supporters, just one old man skirting the rules on soliciting. Said his pamphlet was a free "fan".

They asked for ID, checked it in their county book and that was that. If you plan on voting on election day it would behoove you to take care of it now. Tea leaves are saying it's going to be out of control.

Just double checking with you according to your headline you voted on Sunday? I suppose it's possible the polls were open then in Texas as everything is strange in Texas.

I suspected something like this would happen this election over a month ago, so sent away for an absentee ballot. Standing in line on normal elections is bad enough, lol, and this is anything but a normal election.

So voted 3 weeks ago

It was today, 10/31. My mistake.

Lunch time is busy for early voting for the obvious reason. Even in the little town that is the county seat here, it gets busy at lunch, a line of 3 or 4 people.

Well, good or bad, at least people are getting out and actually voting.

1 Plus in the circus of an election I guess.

I voted on the second day of early voting which was last week. My experience was the same, there was an insane line and it wrapped around the building. I had not expected to have to wait in a line like that, outdoors no less, just to cast a vote on the SECOND DAY of early voting. It will be a madhouse on 11/8.

This wasn't the first time I've early voted. Previous early voting experiences of mine were that there was just the workers, and myself, maybe one or two people besides me, casting their early votes. In and out in 5 minutes! That's what I expected this time, but not what happened.

I thought voting was on the 28th....

Election day is going to be insane, likely much more intense than what is being projected. People like being a part of the madness is how I see it going down. I could see many polls staying open until the early morning hours. US population is generally not that bright so many will wait until the evening of election day oblivious to what is about to happen.

Yeap, there will be lots of talk of a rigged election on the 28th when people are told they cannot vote.

I doubt that but from the people I saw in line, I highly doubt any of them were voting for her in that long line. Most of them were blue collar workers and a lot of older white couples and they looked pissed.

I also voted early in Texas. Tarrant county, city of Arlington. On second day of early voting in South Arlington the line was long but it moved quickly.

The election officials did a great job helping a large number of people sign in and get to a voting machine.

Thirty people were ahead of me when I got into line, I cast my vote and was on my way in fifteen minutes.

Looks very close in Texas. I would have expected a landslide for Trump. Could be rough going for Trump in the rest of the country if it's this close in Texas.
