It's probably been 25 years now but I remember watching an episode of Unsolved Mysteries...you know then one with Robert Stack. Anyways, there was an episode of where this dude fell asleep on his math book. When he awoke he knew everything in that book. Needless to say, this started a long trend of me sleeping on my school books lol.

Edgar Cayce did the same thing after he got a concussion.

The next night, after a complaint from the school teacher, his father ruthlessly tested him for spelling, eventually knocking him out of his chair with exasperation. At that point, Edgar 'heard' the voice of the lady who had appeared yesterday. She told him that if he could sleep a little 'they' could help him. He begged for a rest and put his head on the spelling book. When his father came back into the room and woke him up, he knew all the answers. In fact, he could repeat anything in the book. His father thought he had been fooling before and knocked him out of the chair again. Eventually, Edgar used all his school books that way.[7] By 1892, the teacher regarded Edgar as his best student. On being questioned, Edgar told the teacher that he saw pictures of the pages in the books. His father became proud of this accomplishment and spread it around, resulting in Edgar becoming "different" from his peers.[8] Shortly after this, Edgar exhibited an ability to diagnose in his sleep. He was struck on the base of the spine by a ball in a school game, after which he began to act very strangely, and eventually was put to bed. He went to sleep and diagnosed the cure, which his family prepared and which cured him as he slept. His father boasted that his son was, "the greatest fellow in the world when he's asleep.

Even if I do like the idea of reincarnation and a mirror feedback where your continued fate of being is connected to your previous actions. I can see how you can implement these effects thru storing all events on a quantum entanglement accessible source. So "telepathy" is needed to be implemented but not reincarnation. This statement does neither prove nor disprove reincarnation.

A reincarnation feeling of being another person can be a person just accessing the information of that person. But the nondualistic idea that all creation is one thing that can be interconnected on all levels of creation are supported by Quantum theory if you really think about what entanglement is.

For beginners, it cannot be 'reincarnation', as is commonly understood, as our victim never actually died.
The mere cessation of breath is NOT 'clinical death' (thus accounting for multitudes of 'miracles').
Reincarnation does not seem a reasonable hypothesis.
Believe it or not, the 'answer' (assuming the veracity of all the known 'variables', assumptions...) is found in quantum mechanics (as are so many others), and the Universality of the One Consciousness!
Reality is Here! Now!
('Then' (future and past) is a product of 'thought'.)

All these cases are really interesting.

There is a guy who researches this kind of stuff - Dr Ian Stevenson. You can watch associated videos on YouTube.

I've not really seen one verified case of a child remembering things from past lives, or a person gaining knowledge and understanding, emotions, for people they never knew related to a person donating an organ, after an organ transplant.

In these cases presented here, there was an already established connection. The OP's post states his friends spoke to him in Spanish, and wanted him to learn it. Could it no be that he absorbed their conversation, and with subtle damage to certain areas of the brain, it became more accessible to his woken consciousness? A savant can, for instance, remember many things in fine detail that we as run of the mill brain dead humans, cannot. Doesn't mean the guy who can look at a city scape once, and then paint it in detail, is Picasso, it means we just are not able to grasp a fundamentally aspect of how our brains work.

The Aussie kid posted, who spoke Mandarin, well he just comes off as someone who learnt mandarin, and has cashed in on it. Nothing extraordinary. I see faith healers all the time, summon the power of god to make cripples walk, but once more, the power of the mind, over a perceived certain future, can be an immense change. and never once have I seen a disease cured, that was not helped with some sort of therapy to remedy it.

These things prove nothing extraordinary, other than our brains are far more powerful than we know, and that with oh wait the kardashians are in the news again, ahhh my soma...

I don't see what this has to do with reincarnation since it's the same person now as it was before. It's not like the other 16 y/o kid is gone and someone else has taken over his body. It's still him, just now he's got some language problems and other problems like blacking out and stuff. But it's still the same guy as before.

Now if he came out of a coma saying he was a 90 y/o Italian Opera Singer or something rather than a 16 y/o kid like before that might make sense. But it's not.

This is extremely interesting. Thought proceeds language, so it makes me wonder how they are able to tap into these fluent thought patterns completely foreign to them.

Reincarnation could be an idea.

Tapping into the collective unconscious could be another.

Hall of records?

Or, the simplest and most logical explanation: they were all exposed to that second language. Even Reuben, the boy in the OP, said he has a brother and friends who speak Spanish fluently. It's very common for the brain to forget a primary language after a brain injury (I've seen that with many stroke patients), mostly due to that particular area of the brain being damaged. Hence it makes sense that another area would take over to be able to communicate, and that area may store a second language info.

This makes sense with the examples seen on this thread, as none of them woke up to a completely unknown language, their brains had been learning and storing a second language information without them realizing.

My question about all of this is what kind of Spanish was he speaking? I'm assuming since the report didn't mention anything about it that he was speaking modern Spanish with a similar accent to his friends. If this is the case, then I think it likely has to do with his brain injury allowing him to assimilate the bits of Spanish he already knew.

If, however, he was speaking some kind of antiquated Spanish (for example a dialect of 17th Century Castilian), then I'd be more likely to lean toward reincarnation/generic memory. Not that speaking "modern" Spanish totally precludes the possibility of either, I simply find it to be too much of a leap to be a likely possibility.

And, how do we know they weren't just possessed by a Demon?

Oh ya, how could I forget. We also know it's not ghost possession. Carry on.
